If you're wondering why the image looks weird, I have a 1920x1080 monitor and a 1920x1200 monitor. Oh, and this image is a few months old hence the StarCraft II beta and such.

As of...right now. Desktop blurred because it's full of random shit like web pages and images. The desktop literally functions as a workspace....same as a physical workbench. If I could have a table full of shit and I still have room to work on shit without hindrance (from shit), I would. But it's physically impossible, so I do it with my computer. Every once in while I'll go through and delete some old stuff that I know I won't ever miss. More often, though, I dump the whole thing into a 'New Folder (x)'. I've gotten that number up into the double digits. Then when Windows gets reinstalled, I generally save user folders on the old partition, so as to save old shit saved to the desktop, plus any other 'My Documents' type of folders.

I'm weird.

You lack confidence, your room is usually messy unless someone special comes over, and you are a procrastinator.

Currently building my desktop Windows PC, but here's the desktop from my Linux backup machine. Low res is because of older/lower end 15" touch screen:

Or maybe no one cares enough to guess...I mean...it is JUST five dollars.
Could be. Ben Hur?

Edit: may as well participate.

Though, actually, the thread spurred me to change it from this:

I managed to lose a higher-quality copy during a backup mixup, and have been unsuccessful at finding it again (it looks almost that noisy locally).

A lot of psychotic serial killers on these forums. D_O

Haha it's for this very same reason...

I don't keep a background because ideally I wouldn't be able to see them if I'm using my computer.

It's pretty rare that I have my desktop visible. So, the image would be blocked most of the time anyway. I usually keep my browser, mIRC, and other things on my right monitor while I keep videos and stuff up on the main monitor. It's pretty rare that I ever do one thing at a time.

The most amusing part about that spiel is that while I am typing it, I have my desktop visible.

Had to boot into windows to do something silly, took a desktop pic while I was there

It feels weird that this thread has no 56k warning, I guess that's not necessary anymore

Wishes he was an astronaut, but failed physics 101 in college. Ended up as a mathematician, teaching algebra to 3rd graders. Constantly reloads telescope.com to see if Orion has a sale on a Dobsonion telescope, to no avail. Will not spend more than $349.99 for an 8"-er.

Wishes he owned a Lotus Elise. Goes to bed with Pillowcases covered in graphics from the movie Cars. Currently drives a purple 1989 Honda Civic. It's only redeeming quality is it gets 38MPG, but those were to the standards done back then. Using today's standards, it gets 4MPG.
