Edit: The story behind this song adds to the sadness. It was written for his little boy who fell out of a 49(?) story building in Manhattan and landed on the rooftop of a neighboring building.
The saddest thing I ever heard on youtube was a clip of some guy on the phone with the fire department. He was on one of the upper floors of the world trade center right before they collapsed. You could hear everything up to the last moment. It really put the tragedy in perspective for me, since it is and was easy to be desensitized to it if you didn't live nearby or know anyone directly affected.
I can't find the clip now...
