Stupid question, but is it worth it? I'm not too familiar with that brand.

Still a hot deal, I'd say. Reviews at amazon.com good except for the shutting off by itself.

Any ideas on what causes that?

Thinking about taking the plunge on this one. I ordered the panasonic tau TV recently when the hot deal was posted here, but backed out on it later.

This one may be harder to pass up.

$500 for a 43 foot TV!! That's an awesome deal, but I don't think it will fit in my livingroom or my house or my block...LOL
