Well, there was the time I was living with my dad at the age of 19, and used the term "son of a bitch" (I don't recall what I was referring to) and someone made some comment about swearing. I responded by saying that they use the term on broadcast TV, so it's not really swearing any more.
For the next few days, he and his wife proceeded to use the phrase quite liberally. It was amusing.
"Hey, can you ask the son of a bitch down at the end of the table to pass the son of a bitching mashed potatoes?"
"Who's this son of a bitch on the TV?"
"What did that son of a bitch want?"
I suppose they were trying to make a point or something, but I just found it highly amusing.
