We have 10 left. The rest have found new families. Muppet, Kate and Samantha belong to VeggieFrog but since she is in college in the UK, they live with me until she is done and comes back to the USA. Robyn is now in Heaven, but we have her ashes so, she is kinda still here... Out of the other 7.. four of them are too messed up by either a missing paw, or tail or are just too emotionally misfit.. either no one wants them, or we will not trust anyone to give them the care they need, so they will be here forever.
Sometimes, it can take up to year or more for me to find them a new family that I am confortable putting them in. The longest was Flowers, three years. She was a pure bred, pure black Maine my excellent compatriot... people were offering me over $3,000. for her.. but I would not take it... i ended up placing her with a friend of a friend... under strict rules, for free.
