The first thing I'd do is put your AVR where your PS3 is, and put your PS3 on top of your stand. That in itself will hide a lot of the wires. Next, swap the places with your Wii and keyboard, keyboard on top. After that, if you can, drill a hole in your wall behind your center speaker and fish the speaker wire down behind your stand. And finally, get some flat HDMI cables (regular HDMI may work too) and install a wire conduit to conceal the wires going from your TV to your AVR. I'd also paint the molding the same color as your walls to blend it in more. If you'd like, you can also run those cables (HDMI) through the wall, but you'll need to have an electrician install the power box behind your TV because you cannot run the power cord inside the wall. This is a cleaner but more expensive solution, so I'd recommend the wire conduit instead. It will still look nice. And will look 100x cleaner than what you have right now.
Don't get me wrong, you've got a nice set up. But if you invest some time and a little extra money (~$20-$30), your set up will look MUCH nicer.
I disagree, the amplification should always be on top, regarless of what else is in your system. This is because it cannot have it's vents obstructed, it needs to stay cool .
