Sometimes, you just can't beat the "antiques". If they were reasonably taken care of, they pretty much work forever. Nowadays, much of the electronics are 'disposable'. No matter how well you take care of them, they seem to just "up and die" after several years.

Yep, so true. Can't beat the bass response on it either. I've had my eye on a pair of KEF bookshelf speakers to upgrade the Koss ones. Though the Totem MITEs are vary nice too. More stuff I can't afford. sigh.

I finally ditched my 25" CRT and got a Toshiba 32" 720p LCD (32AV502R). That also let me get rid of the VCR I was using for composite inputs and the DTV converter.

Now I need to work on getting a new tv stand.

I'm taking a break from reconstructing my DIY acoustic treatment thread (lousy 50,000 character limit in vBulletin)

So here are some updated pictures (note that the orange extension cord is hooked up temporarily to the AE900U that I'm attempting to demo for selling it... it's not normally out)

Here's my setup. Think I should get a bigger TV?

I can't wait to setup a half decent AV system in my living room, but no money yet!

Nice TV!! One of my buddies has a TV like that, i asked him "why bother?" when i noticed his 17" apple laptop sitting next to it lol!

Wow crab, what the heck is all that? I haven't seen a thread from you in a while. I recall your gf was loaded though. Your pics prove that, that's for sure.

My awesome wife these days actually. Since we're both disabled, we automated tons of crap in our house. All equipment for almost every tv in the house is housed in that rack, and controlled by all those Crestron boxes, and in turn operated from everywhere in the house by TPMC-8X Panels.
