Finally have a new addition!

New Pics!

Closer view of Front
Electronics

I'm pretty happy with my setup. The 37" screen is quite a joy to sit in front of and work on excel spreadsheets, and gaming/movies of course! There is one dead (off) green subpixel in the center 1" from the bottom, but otherwise, the screen is nice!</end quote></div>

Lol, that is really close... but then I am only like double your distance and I am shooting 92" so who am I to ccomment? </end quote></div>

im actually about 6.5 feet away from the screen, it about perfect for reading the 1920x1080 computer tasks, and seems to be pretty good for watching and playing games so far.

Turns out my seat is at 38% of the room's length, and my speakers happen to fall at Rives audio's recommended location for my room (I guess i've rearranged my room and measured it enough to just do it by eye now). So, the FR at my spot is pretty even considering no acoustical treatments (against apartment lease :/) and being my bedroom/all-in-one room.

Why 2 screens?

If I put 'em together I can span movies across both screens.

Do you have a not-so-dark pic of your system? Do you need special drivers to have the movie span both screens?

What size are those monitors? I couldn't watch movies spanned that way.

19". I didn't think I could either, but it's not even a problem now. It doesn't look weird to me.

Is the aspect ratio messed up on that? Looks like it's stretched horizontally.

It's definitely odd, but I've gotten used to it. I'll be sticking with it until I can afford to drop $800 or more on a bigger monitor/TV.

I would test this but the file is non burnable through Nero and Windows Media Player. Tried to put the song to disc to test it in the living room but it's a no go. Do you by chance have it in MP3 form?

Here you go sir
<a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="https://mywebspace.wisc.edu/sp.../Random/Mission-72.mp3"><a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="https://mywebspace.wisc.edu/spmclaughlin/web/Random/Mission-72.mp3">https://mywebspace.wisc..........Mission-72.mp3</a></a>

I should have mentioned before, this contains a ton of very low frequency stuff, so be careful.

Try it yet, CorCentral?

Tried it. Looks like I need a sub.

I have the 10" sub that came free ($199. value) when I purchased my Polk RTI 12's. I forget what it is but I use it in my computer room to compliment my Infinity Primus 140 bookshelf speakers. I'll put the Sub on my christmas list along with my Onkyo 805

Guaranteed to rock you

This is a very dangerous sound file, read the Foreword on the website before playing the 25MB WAV file.

Yes, I have no receiver/speakers. Yes, I have a 50" plasma sitting on my crappy childhood dresser. I'll be fixing both of those issues soon.</end quote></div>

And a Wii... and what looks like a Rogers HD Cable Box?

Wii. PS3. Comcast HD box (actually Adelphia, but Comcast took over).
