I'm thinking about getting the 15" alloys from the '96 Camry LXE to put on it. But that means that I would have to spring for new wheels AND tires...I'd rather spend it on computer stuff I think the BBS wheels look fine though.

And lowering it, no...that's too ricey for me

I dont have a digital camera or a regular camera and a scanner so I cant post pics of my ride. I can tell you what I have though...

1985 Mazda 626 4 door sedan... its red. My parents gave it to me as a grad present. They got it from my grandparents (who just got a 2000 626), and did like $2000 fixing it up, but decided not to put in a cd player or a tape player, or fix the horrible speakers.

So now I'm stuck with an AM/FM radio that sucks arse and speakers that sound best turned off. NO A/C either!! I gotta pay the insurance too.

DAMN THEM WANTING ME TO GROW UP AND START PAYING FOR MYSELF!!

oh well, its better then the car I didn't have before

Stefan...

My parents did the same thing when I was 16 & 17. At 16 I was given a $300 POS 1983 Tercel. I had to pay all insurance & operation costs. At 17, I started paying rent.

Get used to it, it only gets worse.

I don't have any pics of my car up right now, but as soon as I do, I'll post them (should be soon).

I don't think it's 'ricey' in and of itself to lower a car. If it's lowered like 2 1/2" and scraping the ground and the tires are rubbing - that's ricey! But lowering a car a decent amount can help handling alot and make it look much better. IMO, your car would look great lowered NFS4 because there's a huge fender gap . That's just my opinion though - nice car!

No pictures online, but it's a '96 Indy Red Dodge Avenger base w/ the ES Stock 16" wheels, got it last November for $4700 and I put a new Kenwood head unit in it. Other than that it's pretty much stock.

I didn't mean lower it so it drags the bumpers going up hill, just like an inch or so.

Seeing as I literally know nothing about cars...

What does lowering your car do? how do you lower it? why is it considered ricey? What does ricey mean?

Lowering a car accomplishes several things:

1)Lowers the center of gravity. Makes the car less prone to body roll in cornering.

2)Reduces drag. Makes the car more aerodynamic.

3)Makes it look better (to a point). It's amazing what an inch or two can do to say... a '95 Mustang GT.

These aren't pics of the actual cars, just ones that I could find around on the web...still waiting to get a digital camera

Here's my wonderful ride, I got a decent sound system going for it so far, which makes it a little more enjoyable:

And here's the car that I get to drive every once in a while (It's my mom's and she's very protective of it). I love this car more than life itself...well, almost This pic is of the non-touring package, which is something her car has:
