Ok, I'm posting this message for a friend.this has happend to me twice, and now it has happend to my friends computer. Everything is working fine, then, the computer freezes, and when you reboot it, it won't post. No beeps, nothing. He has tried everything, taking everything out, resetting the CMOS, and taking out the memory. All the power cords work, and the IDE cables are fine. His motherboard is a MSI K7T Pro 2-A, and he has a 900 MHz athlon thunderbird CPU. I have the same computer he has, and the samething happend to me a few weeks ago. The place where I got the computer told me it was the motherboard, so I got a new one; although, the first time it happend to me, which was a few months ago, they told me it was the HD, and replaced it. But how could a bad HD cause you not to even be able to get into the CMOS setup? Does anyone have any idea of what the problem might be?
