I decided to take the gamble at around 1AM and dust off a Sapphire HD 7870 I had laying around that I hadn't used in over two years because it came with a manufacturing defect where the capacitors were under-specced and if you'd game for 10+ mins it'd cause a gray or black screen and the system would immediately crash prior.

I turned the computer off, cleaned it with my electric duster, and added it to see what'd happen. I turned it on, lowered the voltage from the default 1.25V or so to 1.1V and it's been working flawlessly for 16 hours now.

Looks like I'm gonna be good now for 200K PPD or so with the 280/270/4790K (6-thread SMP) combo. :biggrin:

Just went from 2M to 3M f@h points in 6 days. Gunning for 4M in 4 1/2 days now that I'm getting 210-220K PPD average.

Also gonna go into the top 100 in overall TeAm AnandTech points in a few hours. :thumbsup:

Well, let's see, what milestones have I hit semi-recently:

50,000,000 in POEM

1,000,000 in GPU GRID, mostly via CPU, as it's an Nvidia project, but with some help from a horrifyingly wimpy QUADRO card that came with one workstation.

500,000 in DENIS

Oh, and after more than 14 years, I finally shattered 1,000,000 in SETI.

I moved GPUGrid and Einstein up to the next MegaMilestone of 10,000,000 each, and am going back to POEM now.

I would have liked to get GPUGrid substantially higher, but I'd better sell the Titan before it gets devalued any further.
