I haz Droidx nao. Next phone? Hopefully the next version of this phone comes out with a 5.5" SuperAmoLED screen and a 3000mAh battery.

Yes that's right I'm not a midget so my 4.3" screen is not too big for me.
I like everything else about the phone so I hope nothing but the screen and battery changes.

I have a samsung epix that i've put the trashcan winmo 6.5 rom on, i think it's better then the official released version. I'm not sure what phone I'm going with next, I'm waiting to see what microsoft's windows phone 7 looks like before I jump into a new phone. If it blows, then prob a android phone.

HD2 on T-mobile.
Had a Captivate but sold it.
Loved it but I need GPS.

Might be getting an IP4 but not sure.
I always look for aesthetic first in phones.
Haven't seen any future phone that interest me.
The square-ish Samsung W7 phone is nice.
The Dell Android thunder is very attractive.
I'm in love with Samsung s-amoled display BTW.
I'd prefered it to my HD2 4.3" screen.

currently i use an iphone 4 32GB on at&t. the phone is just awesome - even better if you jailbreak it. my next phone will most likely be the 5th generation iphone. however, i have considered all the high end smartphones...and:

palm - used the pre plus and while the o/s is awesome, the hardware is totally cheap and outdated. pixi plus has my ideal form factor (touchscreen with a keyboard underneath that DOESNT slide out), but its too slow and limited.

android - love the droid incredible, upcoming cdma/gsm droid on verizon, droid x, evo 4G, the galaxy S lineup of phones, and the upcoming G2, but almost every single one of those phones i just mentioned arent on at&t unfortunately. an android phone would definitely be my next phone if the 5th gen iphone somehow disappoints.

winmo7 - looks interesting, but the lack of any interesting phones and some basic features just push me away from the platform. xbox live and office integration do look nice though.

nokia - no way.

blackberry - wouldnt even touch it with a 10 foot pole.

now: iPhone 4 16GB

next: it's not out yet

We'll see next summer, I might sell the 4 and get the new iPhone, or maybe something with Android or WP7. I'm more interested in nice looking and solid hardware then whatever OS it uses since they all do everything I need. More than likely, I'll keep the iPhone 4 for 2 years until I'm eligible for a full subsidy again.

I haven't bought a phone in five years. I just use whatever the latest device my Wife can get is. Has always been BlackBerry, but from now on it will be Apple, except I have a BB for work and loath carrying two devices.

I just want to point out that the reason there is a lack of any interesting phones is because uhh there are no phones yet. (unless I'm confusing your statement with current windows mobile OS vs. windows phone 7)
