Using a Droid now, I think I'm going to be okay with it for a while longer.

Droid 1 with Sapphire, with another ~10months of contract to go.

I looked at the Galaxy S phones, and damn, they are nice, but I don't think they are going to be so hot in 10 months. Same with the G2, looks great now, but I don't think it'll have the same luster in 10 months.

I do, however, have a list of features I strongly desire. 4in screen, hardware keyboard, etc. I'd love a Super AMOLED screen, or its successor, too. I may not know what phone I want, but I do know two things for certain. 1) It will be an off contract purchase, and 2)There will be a Cyanogenmod flavor for it.

I have an iPhone 3GS, would like to get an iPhone 4 but I want a white one. If they delay it long enough, I will get a look at WP7. Then I'll have to decide if I want WP7 (Providing it turns out well) or an iPhone 4G.

Which is why I'm not overly concerned at this point. My Droid 1 is great, its just a little depressing seeing all these powerful devices hitting the market. Handled a Fascinate and Vibrant last night at Best Buy, jeez those things are thin.

Whatever they choose to call the 5th gen iPhone. If they follow suit and release next summer, there's still not going to be much in the way of 4G network anywhere, least of all, on AT&T.

On a Droid X right now. I don't think anything will compel me to upgrade until there's a good size LTE Network on Verizon and a phone that uses it that blows the Droid X away.

I'd like to have one but I just haven't been able to justify spending $150 for a decent smartphone from Verizon plus the $30 data plan that would bring my cell phone bill very close to $100 a month. So unless some outstanding deal comes my way I'll stick with my Samsung Sway.

An outstanding deal would be called Sprint. Unless Sprint coverage is not so good in your area.

1) AT&T's not launching 4G yet. They launched the iPhone 3G like 3 years after 3G networks hit the ground, and still AT&T's 3G was horrible.

2) The world is not launching 4G LTE yet. There's a difference from launching a network and rolling out mass phones. The iPhone is used worldwide. They won't include an extra feature that's not yet fully deployed even in the US.

Palm Pre (since day 1 ). Holding out for HP. I want to stick with webOS if I can.

Otherwise, I'm still holding out for a smaller than EVO phone that isn't crap on Sprint. Basically, I want to see a "Nexus 2" so to speak. Epic isn't crap, but I if I'm forced into going big, I don't want the keyboard.

I have a Sprint Palm Pre. I'm up for a replacement in December and hope for a nice looking Windows Phone 7 offering. If not then I'm not sure what I'll do. I love the battery life of the iPhone so who knows...

HD2 (running Android) on T-Mobile right now.

Don't really see anything out now or in the immediate future that'd make me want to upgrade. Maybe something with a physical keyboard again if it weren't much thicker, but it's not as important to me as it once was. I also pretty much refuse to buy a phone with a screen smaller than 4.3" ever again. Overall, the HD2 was a solid purchase, especially now that I've dumped WinMo

Edit: T-Mobile's 3G speeds are kinda crappy where I live, compared to AT&T who I had before, but on the other hand it's pretty damn fast in larger cities near me (Austin, Houston, San Antonio). I'll put up with it for now, especially since I should be moving within the next 9-10 months anyway...

4G has poor penetration and the 1900mhz frequency Sprint uses for 3G has poor building penetration as well, all things being equal, Verizon's frequency is the best for building penetration. I understand (not a RF engineer by any standard)

<--Got a crash course in cell phone frequency building penetration when I started working in a dept in the hospital with lead lined walls. Verizon is the only provider that has any penetration.

AT&T & TMobile get no signal, Sprint is intermittent, Verizon is the only one that gets solid reception.

Had a droid 1, but screen went bonkers and they upgraded me due to replacement delay. Don't see any reason for me to upgrade.

Rooted Droid1, running Ultimate Droid @ 1.1ghz.

Nothing out now that gives me any reason to upgrade. My NE2 is next summer, though I can upgrade next month at the 2 yr contract price. I'll wait I'm sure.
