Has anyone else been able to oc their card way higher than what they can in games for this benchmark? Most of the time in Crysis I can only run my card stable at 650/1700/945, but with 3dmark vantage, I can run my clocks at 785/1900/985. And the card makes less heat than the Crysis benchmark in the first 30 seconds. I am just curious why the drivers are more stable with Vantage than they are with games.

Edit- Ok, so I reinstalled the drivers and ran Vantage with SLi disabled....score....P5025 (same as with SLi enabled).

Edit2- So, up until now, i have been hitting "run benchmark" and then leaving the room (Son wouldnt let me miss the latest Higglytown). Anyhow, so now i have sat down to watch and...MAN is something WRONG! In the first becnhmark, the water goes TOTALLY NUTS. As in, by the time she makes it past the camera, the waves are so big they fill the entire scene......for the rest of that benchmark. All i see is the side of a wave for the entire first benchmark. Other oddities.....The Flag test...yeah, them flags are stuck in the shape of a sphere and they just sit there...like spheres stuck to the flag poles. What is goin on here?

both camps already have out beta drivers to fix issues with 3dmark vantage. go download the fix and then let us know what happens.

lol, it is based on Windows 2000 code which was in development since 1997. XP is almost 11 years old.

it is only costs a little over 4 gallons of gas for 'advanced'

you'll still be downloading this file next week...and my 11 1/2 year old OS has something that many vista users have forgotten the meaning of: stability.

what do you run 3d mark 06 at?

I did notice that xpoc was at 810/1115 on his gts 512...WOW!

Performance was 6210 CPU/15596 GPU and Extreme was 6266 CPU/6600 GPU.

I know you're not asking me but, I'm game stable at those speeds. No volt mod or anything. I'm quite sure i can go higher in benches and will try soon.

Highest 3DMark06 score for me is 17,308, on a single gpu and stock cooling

On 06 my best stability is 750/1779/949 scoring just over 14000 and some change.

yes but the thing is it took 11 1/2 years and 1600+ patches/hotfixes to make it stable. Why not use something thats already updated and has fewer issues compared to XP when it was released. I know how people were perfectly happy with win98, why did they switch to XP? Why because they didn't switch to anything, it switched itself. Nature is automatic, change isn't welcome at start.

all hardware at stock speeds and the only time i get over 50c on anything is during crysis for extended periods of time, even then graphics card temp only hovers around 54 and i run on very high 1400X900. avg fps 35, mostly in low 40s, 30s in snowy areas, 50-60 indoors or things

My single 4870 with my system in sig is getting 7501.
