well here goes. posts the cars you have owned, and their demise.

1999 Chevy Tahoe - Drove it until we bought my next car, then my dad sold it ~110k miles.
1998 GMC Jimmy - Amazingly stout lil beast of a car, still owned to this day, and my brother now drives it, ~100k miles.
1999 Saab 9-5 - Loved it, great car, until it crapped itself 4 hours from my house. traded it in on next car.
2005 Malibu MAXX - good car, effecient, huge, comfy, decent all around. still own it, but might sell it to my mom for...

2000 Saab 9-3 Viggen - who knows, but damn fast.

1990ish Buick Century - First car...parents gave it to me. They gave it to my grandma and...
1990ish Buick Century - Got me another one. This one decided to blow the seal on the oil filter while I was going along down the highway, and the oil light didn't come on. Engine got ******. My dad found a new engine and put it in it and used it for a work car.

1997 Nissan Maxima - I bought this one after the stuipd Century died. Still driving it around. It's got about 120K miles on it right now.

1988 Honda Accord - great little car, rusted in half from Ohio salt at 220,000 miles.
1976 Porsche 914 - Amazing, simply amazing.
1987 Porsche 924S - 150,000+ miles.
1995 Lincoln Mark VIII - Meh. Nice car, too cushy, inherited.
1989 Porsche 944 - Traded the 914 and the 924S for it. Autocross car.
1986 Porsche 951 (944 Turbo) - Holy sh*t! Fast.
1976 Porsche 914 - Same one as before, traded the 944 back for it.
2006 Ford Mustang GT - Replaced the Lincoln with it when the Lincoln's transmission started to go out. Kick-ass car.

That's 7 distinct cars (8 if you count the one that I sold and later got back as two) in the 8 years that I've had a license. I suppose it's an addiction... And that's not mentioning the motorcycle.

1993 Chevy S-10 V6 with a stick. I loved this truck, but got rear ended by a jeep, screwed it all up, traded it for.
1996 Saturn SL1, Great car for the first 70k I owned it, then it turned into a rolling moneypit.
Traded for 1999 Mercury Cougar. Ran into some hard times and had it taken away
Bought a 1977 AMC Hornet SW, Ugly, rusted and in need of far more TLC than I could give it, drove it for a year until the torque converter cracked, Parked it, eventualy my sister bought it, got the transmission fixed and drove it for about 6 months before selling it.
While I had the hornet I bought a 1988 Plymouth Caravelle, Transmission was completly shot, thought getting a working one would be much cheaper than it would of been. Had all sorts of electrical issues. Sold it for the same ammount i paid for it.

When the Hornet died I bought a 1994 Ford Escort, I got screwed multiple times on this utter pile of crap. First off the title was invalid and not in the person that owned its name, so it sat for about 4 months while i got that straightened out, then the transmission and motor died literaly at the same time. sold it as junk on ebay.
While the crap with the title for the escort was going on I bought a 93 Ford Tempo, good simple transportation, had no problems with it while i owned it, got rid of it when I got the title mess with the escort sorted out. Worst mistake I have made

After the escort self destructed I bought a 1986 Chrysler Lebaron Sedan, Made it two years and nearly 10000 miles before it blew a heater core hose and then started showing the first signs of headgasket failure. Ended up selling it on craigslist.

Next car was a 95 Chrysler LHS, had the car for 3 weeks, overheated and died trying to evacuate from Hurricane Rita, was able to recover the car and dump it at carmax and got most of my money back.
Used the money from it to buy my current car
1991 Infiniti G20, It needs some work, but I love it.
Gah that was a crapload of typing.

1996 Ford Escort -- this was my sister's car when she was in high school (graduated in 1998) and my dad used it to drive 3 miles back and forth to work 5 days a week for a couple years... I took ownership of the car in 2003 when I got my driver's license.

it's got low milage on it, but runs a little crappy... makes a lot of noise. shakes (especially if I'm going above 40 mph), and I've dropped about 2 grand in repairs on it in the past couple years.

that's my frst and only car up to this point... I'll be getting a new car this summer, though, when I turn 25 and my insurance costs go down. haven't decided what type of car I'm going to get yet.

My brother should post here...he changes cars faster than I change clothes.

Anyway, here's mine:

1985 Chevy Cavalier - drove it until it died and I refused to dump anymore money into it (had over 150K miles on it)
1992 Ford Aerostar - drove it until it started leaking oil all of the time (had over 120K miles on it)
1999 GMC Suburban - still have and will keep until it won't run any longer (currently has around 135K miles on it)

1985 Buick Century - hand me down from parents, blew engine because they never maintained it and I beat on it
1989 Lincoln Continental - hit patch of black ice, wrecked into a concrete divider on an offramp RIP
1983 Oldsmobile Regency 98 - parents' old old car. drove for a few months after wrecking Continental, then sold
*1988 Pontiac Trans Am GTA - Currently at 146k miles.
1977 Cadillac Coupe DeVille - Drove all of 25 miles before brake hose blew out. Sold for $450.
*1992 Ford Mustang - Sitting dead at parents' house in Michigan. 74,xxx miles.
*1988 Chrysler Conquest - Keeping as a spare, not driving it - needs a decent amount of work. Mileage unknown.
*1989 Honda Prelude - put on about 1500 miles since getting it in March...needs CV axles, steering rack, and I think the trans may be going out...time will tell on this one. :/ 118,xxx miles.

I'm 25.

Still have the starred ones. The Trans Am is in the process of a MAJOR drivetrain rework (new engine, intake, transmission, rearend) along with some other upgrades, the Prelude is my current beater / commuter, and the Mustang and Conquest are both for sale. The Stang has a blown transmission, and the Conquest needs more work than I have time to give it right now.

What? No pick-ups?

My Dad is a contractor, and I have been in the family business since about 1984. I have owned a pick-up or SUV in some way shape or form almost my whole life. Its basically just a way of life, you cant really live without one.

It has really reached the point where I dont even like cars anymore, dont like to drive them and dont even like to ride in them.
