well here goes. posts the cars you have owned, and their demise.
1999 Chevy Tahoe - Drove it until we bought my next car, then my dad sold it ~110k miles.
1998 GMC Jimmy - Amazingly stout lil beast of a car, still owned to this day, and my brother now drives it, ~100k miles.
1999 Saab 9-5 - Loved it, great car, until it crapped itself 4 hours from my house. traded it in on next car.
2005 Malibu MAXX - good car, effecient, huge, comfy, decent all around. still own it, but might sell it to my mom for...
2000 Saab 9-3 Viggen - who knows, but damn fast.
more proof that american car buyers have incredibly low expectations from their cars.
the jimmy is "amazingly stout" and it only has 100K? the saab was "great," but it died after only 7 years? and you're thinking about buying another one? WTF?
here's mine:
1991 Honda Accord wagon. bought it at 97K. It now has 202,000 miles and counting (fast). It has not needed any repairs for the past 40K. It starts every time. It hauls tons of gear. It cruises at 95 MPH without breaking a sweat. It keeps up with hussling Audi's on the backroads. It handles snow, ice, hail, 110 degree freeway blasting, sand, etc. That's "stout."
hopefully i will augment it with a used S2000, Si, or Subaru in the next few years, just for fun.
compuwiz has a LONG list!!!
