Cars in Bold are current rides.

1982 Mini - The original 998cc.
1983 Austin Maestro 1.6 HLS - My first car I bought with my own money. Head was cracked, I bought it at auction. I fixed it and owned it for about 6 years
1990 Ford Escort 1.6GL - A company car. Was comfy and free, also shit.
1991 Honda Civic 1.6i-16 - Rapid little beast for me when I was 22 or so. UK/Ger edition with 130hp/850Kg. I only got rid of it 5 years ago! Amazing car!
1998 Mercedes Benz C240 Sport - Nice luxo-barge. Another company supplied car (obviously a better company this time...!)
1999 Volvo S40 Sport 2.0 - OMFG hardest suspension I have EVER had on ANY car, including a Lotus Exige. I shit you not. Optioned up by previous emp. and given to me from the pool. Out handled my buddies Porsche 964 911, but was a c**t to ride in and was slower than an ant through treacle due to slush box and shitty renault 2.0 motor.
1999 V70 T5 - Very quick. Also huge. And bad around bends. And the oil light didn't work when I got it, so neither did the motor after some heavy footed runs... Another company car.
1999 Alfa Romeo 156 2.0 - Great car, for the sound of the four pot twin spark, interior. Shit for EVERYTHING else, even handling. Car was with me for 3 months, spent 1.5 in shop...
2000 Golf V6-4Motion - My order at the company. 204Hp, 4WD and no way of controlling it. Somebody forgot to use springs and put soft cheesecakes at each corner instead. Also, zee germans think that a heavy iron weight would be best in front of the front axle. It isn't, that's a shit idea. Kill yourselves. Anyhow, nice car, needed the warranty. I mean it REALLY needed it. Even had a new Haldex rear end in that thing for free...
2000 Subaru Impreza 2000 Turbo AWD Wagon - OMG. I STILL love this car and I sold it 3.5 years ago. 215hp factory spec, but rolling road revealed it was pushing 246hp and 242Ft/lb. Sounded great, just like the WRC cars. Was very rapid and good for the Dog and carrying loads. Handling was great. Shit dash.
2001 BMW M3 - My wonderbeast. Luxury, technology, brutality. I love it. You can be a gent and a hooligan in it within minutes. It intend to keep it for as long as I can.

Cars owned or currently owned or bought with 'other halves':

1992 Peugeot 205 XS - Fun.
1999 Honda Civic 1.6 VTi - the original VTi engine with the mental on/off VTEC and 160HP.
2000 Mazda MX-5 1.8iS - With the 140Hp and LSD. Nice roadster. Always will love those fucking things, the bitch, however, is gone. Razz
2003 SEAT Leon 20VT - 180Hp Turbo, Audi interior, great price. Good cars. Handled well which for the Mk4 Golf chassis is a stunning achievement,
2006 Renault Clio Dynamique S - Great small car. Probably the epitome of small car Nirvana, except this was the latest one which is bigger than a Golf. Great car. No problems in 3 years of ownership.
2008 BMW 120d M Sport - Fantastic car. Good handling, if you try to ignore the run flats, (18" RF and 245 wide are NOISY) , great tech, comfort and luxury in a classic BMW package. Diesel motor is stunning and good for 0-60 in 7.2, 144Mph. That's Golf GTi territory....from a diesel!

81 dodge mirada /6 auto first car $600
85 plymouth turismo/duster 2.2l auto $1000
67 ford galaxie 500 390 BB v8 auto $1200. My first cool car. Did a good bit of work to it.
81 plymouth horizan 1.7l auto. It was free thats how nice it was . Used it as a college beater rather than driving the galaxie most of the time.
93 nissan truck 2.4l 5 speed 2wd $3000. Replaced the horizan. Just wanted something nice for once that didn't look like poop.
89 dodge caravan 2.5l turbo auto $800. Replaced the nissan when I decided I'd rather have the extra cash instead of a nice looking beater. Have had it 8 years now.
89 ford mustang coupe 5.0l 5speed $3000. Replaced the galaxie. I loved the galaxie but was terrified of people messing with it everytime I parked it somewhere.
94 mazda miata 1.8l 5 speed turbo $4000. Replaced the mustang. Just got tired of the mustang and everybody should have a 2 seater vert at some point. Going on 3 years with this one

1988 Honda Accord LX-i - First car, lots of fun, great mileage (34 mpg highway). Shame that the old girl rusted in half.
1982 Honda CB450SC Nighthawk - Not a car, but the first motorcycle. Shitloads of fun.
1976 Porsche 914 - First project car. Fun. A street-legal go-cart.
1986 Porsche 924S - Replaced the rusted out Accord. Loved this car. Great mileage (low 30's) and fun to drive. My first real encounter with the ominous phrase, "Hey, a cheap Porsche, sounds like fun!"
1995 Lincoln Mark VIII - Inherited from my grandfather. Surprisingly fun to drive and incredibly comfortable and reliable. 280 hp was fun too.
1989 Porsche 944 2.7 - Like the 924S only the previous owner had actually taken care of it. Rollcage. Track suspension. FUN, but pretty much the definition of snap-oversteer due to suspension tuning. Did I mention it was fun?
1986 Porsche 944 Turbo - The best sportscar I have ever driven, bar none. Does everything well and has no nasty habits.
2006 Ford Mustang GT Coupe - Fun. Impractical, but fun. Ultimately not practical when I already had the 944 Turbo for a sportscar so sold in favor of the Volvo.
1998 Volvo S70 T5 - Amazing compromise between a sportscar and a family sedan. Enough room in the back to fit full-size adults in comfort and I love the turbo's pull.
2007 Harley-Davidson XL1200R - Not a car, but a boatload of fun.

*sigh* Good times.

86 F150 - RWD, winters sucked...long bed, 2 gas tanks, one rusted through, hazaaard!
94 dodge shadow - first stick, gutless
99.5 Jetta 2.0L 5 speed .. also gutless, but faster then shadow
2000 Jetta 1.8T 5 speed...much better then the 2.0L
2001 Jetta 1.8T 5 speed, newer engine, slightly quicker then stock...wolfsburg edition, pretty nice
2006 Audi A4 2.0T 6 speed QUATTRO, best car of them all...can't imagine needing to upgrade anytime soon.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4, 4.7L, thing is awesome, works great for my dog, and the GF likes it

The Jetta's were all in a the last 1-2 year timeframe...I couldn't find the one I wanted...so I went with the big boys german car, Audi....may dip in BMW someday, but not anytime soon.

1. 1999 Hyundai Sonata V6 - Parents bought it new, then gave me when they moved to California. And then things started braking after 70k miles/5 years. Even there was water leaking from the roof!! (Heck, it didn't even have sunroof!) Also, I am not sure why my parents bought V6, which is as weak as its I4 sibling.

2. 2007 Honda CR-V - I liked it, but found it was too slow and heavy for my favor. Well, it was obviously faster/better than Sonata, so thought it was fast enough for my favor ----- until I test drove the car # 3 below.

3. 2006 BMW 325i Sedan - It was night and day compare to my last two cars. I was a kind of person who thought a car just as a transportation between point A and point B. It changed all my view about car.

2003 Jetta GLI VR6 - my aunt taught me to drive in it and let me "lease" it from her for the first few months of my driving until I found a suitable ride. Pretty zippy, and a comfortable ride.

1971 Cutlass 442 W-30 Coupe clone. Was a POS but I loved it. The torque was overwhelming. Wanted it to be my first project car but it became a financial burden and I passed it on to a neighbor.

2001 F-150 - Paid for outright, worked on it myself. Did the whole car audio thing in it, lifted it, did some motor work (not too much)

2000 Corvette - Paid for it out of pocket, 40 some odd thousand miles. Did some valvetrain work, ran 125 shot of nitrous, and had a transmission rebuild done. I really loved working on this car, but all the small things that would go wrong with it finally drove me nuts. (Pop up headlights, cheap seat leather, spray on "leather" shit on the dash started to come off, etc.) Was a blast to drive though, I did some racing schools in it, drag raced it, and thoroughly enjoyed it in high school. It took me from being interested in cars to being completely in love with them. I will one day buy another C5 as a toy, and I really hope to get one for my brother when he is in HS (it positively affected my HS experience)

2008 Sky Redline
- My current car. Purchased it mostly because of a kick ass financing deal. It's grown on me more and more and I love the differences between all my old V8s and the turbo I4. I'm learning PCM tuning on it using some specialized software, and I'm working with a turbo kit manufacturer to be the first with a compound turbo set-up (the original K04 turbo and a GT40r). I like the car but do not love it.

I've had my eye on a few other cars as my income goes up, so I'll let you guys know

It was $22k, and I ran a computer consulting business at night while working a retail day job. I had a pretty nice build up of clients in my home town and businesses in the Dallas area.

I may have paid for it in cash but I couldn't have done it without my parents. I paid for gas and maintenance but they covered my insurance (and obviously living expenses etc.)

Mine is quite boring:

'93 Corolla Wagon - High school car - not exactly something to pick girls up with...but I loved it until it was totaled in an accident...not my fault of course ;-)
'86 Crown Victoria Wagon - Drove for one summer...my parents had it sitting around waiting to give to goodwill, so I drove it for the summer until I could get money together for...
'93 Taurus Sedan w/ 3.8l - Used to be brother-in-laws company car...got it cheap. Engine and transmission royally sucked. Car was nice otherwise other than really boring for a college student
'92 Toyota Camry V6 - Parents were getting rid of this, was able to buy from them cheap. Still boring...but the drivetrain was light years better than the Taurus. Super reliable as I beat the crap out of it in college and it just kept puttering along.
'02 Yukon 5.3l 4x4 - Got an outrageous deal on a new one...actually sold it for a profit when I realized I was commuting too far to have such a gas guzzler. Fantastic utility and I could haul a crap load of friends around. Great Engine...hated the auto transmission.
'99 Mazda Millenia S - Great car for the money...great amenities...fantastic engine...hated the automatic transmission. Finally swore them off.
'04 Honda Civic - My wife bought this before we were married...I had no say in it. I hate it other than it is supremely reliable, cheap, and efficient. Hope to replace this soon with an MX-5
'05 Toyota Tacoma V6/4x4 - Finally a manual transmission another manual transmission after many years of driving automatic. Love this truck and will keep it easily another 10 years. Unfortunately it is a truck...which is why I want get my wife an MX-5 so at least there will be something fun to drive in the driveway.

So as I said...ultimately pretty boring. Luckily my company has a lot of nice, expensive German autos for company cars that I drive frequently not to mention the nice Audis/BMWs/Mercs I'm able to get on long projects in Europe. Otherwise I think I would have had to sell my wife's car already due to boredom.

new 1997 Toyota 4runner SR5; loved this car but gave it to my sister in 2000 when she needed a car.
used 1999 Honda CBR600 F4; love this bike. Had it for 10 years now. Plan on keeping it forever.
new 2000 Porsche Boxster; fun car. But I didn't drive it enough to justify keeping it. Sold it after 3 years and less than 7,000 miles.
new 2000 Dodge BT2500 cargo van; my daily driver and moneymaker. This vehicle makes everything possible. But it might retire next year when I start my new business venture.
new 2002 Toyota Tundra SR5 extended cab; my Home Depot, kayaking, and backup work vehicle. It has the most car-like ride of any truck I've driven.
new 2003 Toyota Sienna; bought this after the birth of my daughter. enough said.
used 2001 Honda S2000; another fun car. Unfortunately only had it for about 2 months. It was totaled by visiting brother-in-law.
new 2007 Chevy Corvette; my toy car. Gobs of power and torque. Makes me smile every time I drive it. Unfortunately, it only has 3,800 miles after 2 1/2 years. I thought about selling it many times since it just rots in my garage, but I'm starting a new business venture next year that might allow me to use it as a daily driver. Looking forward to that.

I was on a hunt for another toy vehicle to add but now that plan is on hold. I need to save all my pennies for my new business. Hopefully the venture will pay off and I can add some better toys later.

Chevy G20 3/4ton "shorty" van- Currently driving this as it was a gift. The body is in bad shape but the 5.0L engine purrs like a champ.
1992 Buick Skylark GS- Going to be getting this in a few weeks from my mother when she gets a different car because this is a "kid's car" to her.

I am hoping once I get a job I can buy a used 80s Porsche 944 though. I always loved Porsches.
