The score scales pretty even with my 2700k so I'd think 900 would be almost impossible currently as far as I can tell.

Running at 4.0ghz gets me 617
Running at 4.2ghz gets me 648
Running at 4.8ghz gets me 737
Running at 5.0ghz gets me 770
Running at 5.1ghz gets me 785
Running at 5.2ghz gets me 801

Every .1ghz more is only good for 15pts.

Guestimated speed to break 900 would be 5.87ghz or so

How high would a pentium 4 need to be clocked for 900?

By my calculations 14.04GHz.

A 2500k would have to be clocked at 5.94GHz to hit 900.

My 2500k does about 1 CPUmark99 for every 6.6MHz. A P4 is 1 CPUmark99 for every 15.6MHz. Besides the increased numbers of cores the 2500k core is 2.36 times faster per clock cycle at this benchmark. Despite this being an old benchmark every core since the P4 has shown real world performance improvement and IPC improvement on this bench.

Here is a graph of my computer history with CPUmark99 results from each one of my systems. http://www.hyperactivemusic.com/cpumark99.pdf

Without even taking increased speed of the memory buss, drive system, and all of the other improvements, my latest computer is 2500 times faster (when you count all four cores) than my first computer, a SX25.

What clockspeed would Zambezi need to hit 900?

Not one single BD score?

8150 @ 4.56Ghz = 507

fits right where I expected it. Pretty much a side grade from my 1055t @ 3.7ghz as expected, assuming the x6's show the same single core frequency scaling. Maybe I'll run the benchmark in a windows VM later on the 1055t.

498 - X4 955 @ 3.6 Ghz
PII X4 955 @ 3.9 Ghz : 529

It's low, like 300 for an 8120. 1100t is much faster, as are intel CPU.

Oops, I was way off. I must have run the test while mining or something and didn't realize how much the other processes were messing with the results.

With most applications closed, I'm getting a score of 440 on a stock FX-8120.

Phenom II X4 960T @ 4.2Ghz = 580

Phenom II X4 960T @ 4.4Ghz = 607

I'm going to try @ 4.5~4.6Ghz if it's stable!

Llano A6-3400M (in a Samsung laptop) stock speeds

I got 722 at 4.7 GHz. (Same 2500k as before) I love how non-intensive this benchmark is. I did all of my runs on the stock cooler.
