I might like Super Mario Bros. 3 a bit more than the rest of you. There are 4x SMB3 carts in front of me right now (1 Famicom version and 3 NES).

The *only* thing I did to prepare this shot was to open the door of the NES on the lower shelf.

X-COM: UFO Defense

There are others I like, but X-Com is the only game that made me lose track of the outside world. Oh hey, is that the sunrise?
It's the John Carpenter of video games.

Other favorites:
StarCraft
Age of Empires, the Tycoon games, those kind of gather and build games.
Elder Scrolls: Morrowind. Loved it for a while, got tired of all the walking.

Arcade Game: Missile Command.

Console Game: Utopia on Intellivision.

Funny to see Paperboy here. It really just isn't a fun game.

LOL! That guy's frown looks like the Grumpy cat.

I don't know why I liked the game. Perhaps it was because when I was young I always wanted a paper route and a chance to earn money. Eventually I did get a paper route and I quickly learned it sucked to have to wake up waaaay to early in the morning, 7 days a week, rain or shine plus holidays for about $100 a month.

I guess I didn't mention arcade. That would be Area-51. I was damn good at that game! Also blew away a lot of money too. LOL

Battlefield 1942: Desert Combat. Perfection in just about every way.

Diablo 2. Holy shitload addiction. Haven't played in 10 years, but was looking for something over the weekend and stumbled across the discs for it. I was strong enough to leave them untouched, but just barely.

Battlefield 1942: Desert Combat sounds like the Forgotten Hope Mod for BF2.

Speaking of Diablo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I43GUnZN_s4

Yep, that game was so far ahead of it's time, I was introduced to the series with a Terror From The Deep demo from a PC gamer. It wasn't until a year or two later that I discovered UFO Defense.

Civilization 1 was also pretty good.
SNES: Super Mario World.
N64: Mario Kart 64, I played this game so much one day that at night when I closed my eyes I could still see the track scrolling.

GTA:SA. I have literally played this game numerous times on every single platform that it has been released on.

PC gamer here, I never got into gaming consoles.

My favorite game has to be Master of Orion 2, although the original Star Craft is a close second, with Eve Online being third.

Oh one other one, I just got a VirZoom VR bike this weekend. It's pretty addicting. You put on the VR headset & then pedal in 360. You can be a tank, race car, horse, etc.

For people that play tons of games...this is tough...I don't tend to play games again after I beat them and if I based it on games I spent the most time on...its all multiplayer...even though I may not consider them my favorite

Doom II
Quake
Starcraft
Eve Online
League of Legends

But if I go based on memorable single player games...

Zelda Link to the Past
Final Fantasy VI
Super Mario World
Alien: Isolation
Bioshock Infinite

Arcade:
T2

MechWarrior 2 (LAN mode over Kali)
EQ1 (from beta 2,3,4)
DAOC
SWG (before CURB)
LOTRO
WOW (years ago)
RIFT

Are many others, consoles/C64 prior to that, but those I mainly sunk a lot of time into on PC, once upon a time.

I used to have a few guilds I played with a lot in several games.

Not much of anything lately.
