Tekken 2 was the apex of the series; tekken 3 was nice too but already too much button mashing, although we did love the improvements to the engine. wish they made something similar to t2 now.

Wipeout 2097 - best racing game ever made.

wasteland was imho the best RPG ever released, but i will give it shared 1st place with the first Neverwinter Nights because this one had a mind-boggling amount of user-created content, some of it truly excellent.

Command & Conquer 95, not generals or red alert. because of the delicate economy which kept players from the tank spam. However the pathing was truly horrible, and again i wish there was something like this again, but with newer tech.

Honorable mention to Supreme Commander, taking RTS in a different direction.

Never had as much fun with a point n click as i've had with Day Of The Tentacle. Close second is Monkey Island.

Deus Ex. I expected it to be like Doom which disappointed me at first, until i realized i was playing a completely different game.

many more, but then again in those days, most new games were great.

Of the modern era, i've liked FTL, Minecraft, Oblivion, and i loved, absolutely loved the Time Splitters series, with Future Perfect being my absolute favorite.

and finally there is blacklight ..

Oh one other one, I just got a VirZoom VR bike this weekend. It's pretty addicting. You put on the VR headset & then pedal in 360. You can be a tank, race car, horse, etc.

That looks cool and actually thought it be a great way to lose weight until I read this:

Supports player heights from 4'4" to 6'2" comfortably, and up to 260 lbs
I weigh more than that unfortunately. I'm also 6' 1"

Just hop on IIFYM for a few months. In a nutshell:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Vive/comments/4tchsa/just_got_my_virzoom_holy_crap/d5gfyxk

This is a pretty foreign concept to most people. But ultimately, it boils down to 2 things:

1. Food primarily controls fat, not exercise (aka food = weight loss/gain)
2. The single foundational principle for fat loss is taking in fewer calories than you use in a day

And if you want to get in shape:

3. Track your macros (protein, carbs, fats)
4. Exercise

If you're interested in this, watch the Fathead documentary to start out with:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sp8pnpqhxzw&list=PL1Bbog4O13d2O8syZLGWqhZ1lXPSkNHpT

Like I said in the link above, for a long time I ate pretty "clean", which was a good approach but not what I'd call the right approach because I really didn't know how many calories I was supposed to eat, what my protein intake was supposed to be, etc. My world shifted when I learned about IIFYM. It's so hard to explain concisely, but basically you (1) don't have to starve yourself, and (2) don't have to deprive yourself of the foods you love in order to lose weight. There's so much misinformation out there! I always thought that losing fat, gaining muscle, and maintaining my desired weight was hard. Switched to calisthenics & IIFYM, so much easier!

Also, I played the tank game on the VR bike for way too long again & feel like throwing up now

Yeah, I am of the concept that food in take is what is most important. I have not been eating a lot of crap at all and I have shed a few pounds here and there, but I gotta tell ya, this gut is a bitch to lose which is where the weight is primarily. I do eat a lot of meat. And I think that might be a problem.

Edit- Great video. I always knew those statins were a load of crap. I loath seeing those stupid medicine commercials. My doctor did tell me about carb intake and have been told to lower carbs. But EVERYTHING has carbs!

Funny to see Paperboy here. It really just isn't a fun game.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oH0rzY5zOA

I dunno, it was kinda cool at the time, but not really worth playing after a level or two.

Excitbike and RC ProAm crushed it, of course.

Paperboy is like one mediocre event in T&C Surf Competition or whatever that game was....also shitty but I did like the skateboard and surf bits occasionally.

That's the thing that's difficult to realize - purely for results, it doesn't matter what you eat. Content isn't strictly relevant to results. You'd be amazed at how much junk food I eat. I have dessert nearly every single day (I am a sugarholic for sure). Here's how I look at it:

1. Bottom line: Eat less calories than you take in. See the Twinkie diet:

http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/11/08/twinkie.diet.professor/

2. Next, if you want to make sure you're getting the right amount of fuel for your body, that's where IIFYM comes in: under the daily total calorie umbrella is protein, carbs, and fat (the three major macros). The fun part of IIFYM comes from two things: (1) you get to pick what foods fulfill those requirements, and (2) once you meet your gram numbers for each macro for the day, the rest of free game. See the Ice Cream & Abs guy:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1q2Sf0OP1wg

https://www.youtube.com/user/jaklcrow/videos

3. If you like the ideal of health, then the more whole foods you stick in, the better. Natural vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals, etc. The majority of my eating is natural foods, but I splurge all the time with no worries. Like yesterday I hit up McDonalds for a lobster roll & McFlurry. But I also realize that eating junk food all the time will probably kill me sooner rather than later, so sometimes I also go for healthier versions of treats. These healthy Snickers bars are crazy addicting:

http://detoxinista.com/2013/09/healthy-snickers-bars-vegan/

When I started out, I did clean eating & had no idea about what my body actually required. I just blindly ate healthy food all the time. Which is fine. I lost a good 50 pounds doing that. But I've gotten far better results using IIFYM, plus I get to eat stuff that I like. And no guilt for eating treats! Every meal can be a cheat meal if you make it fit your macros! :awe:

Like I said, it's a bit hard to explain concisely, and it's a pretty hard concept to swallow because it kind of contradicts all traditional knowledge, but it removes the uncertainty of what to eat vs. how to get results. Maybe I'll finish my IIFYM wiki page today, if so I'll link it here

Funny you say that, because now that I think about it, Paperboy WAS fun...for like a level or two.

I really wish they had a paperboy game for my VR bike, that'd be way fun in 3D! Especially if you could knock over mailboxes, TV dishes, throw the paper for a dog to catch, etc.
