Post your fireworks pics/video.

I got some low res videos of the fireworks at the Pittsburgh Regatta yesterday.
They're still pretty cool.
I got some pics of the fireworks and Heinz field, too. I'll put a few up when I get them edited.

My pics were pretty sucko. I didn't have a tripod and didn't have the patince necessary to get some nice ones. There's still a few cool ones though.

I took about 100 and wouldn't post any of them because they're pretty bad. I live in a subdivision and basically anyway you can look there are folks here lighting off pro-style shows so I was trying to capture too many spots by hand. In the end, I learned that:

1) I need to use a tripod to get any results with current setup, just aim at one of the shows and try and get a few nice pics that way.

2) My (kit) lens is too slow. f3.5 wasn't enough to allow for quick shutter, even at ISO1600, to capture the effect right. I was able to get some to come out using slower shutter speeds but that wasn't what I was going for and because it was handheld it was very shaky result.

Well, I learned the limitations of myself and my camera setup, so, maybe for New Years I'll get some decent shots. I was happy with the low noise from the RebelXT even at ISO1600. It was much better than my old Minolta S404.

With the 50MM f1.8 or f1.4 ($$$$) I could have had some nice shots. Time to save up.

Same here...was in front of the US Capital, but couldnt get any really nice shots with my Powershot a95 since the stupid default settings... f4.6 was the lowest I could go, not to mention the lack of a tripod....
