I don't have much to flaunt, so I'm going to flaunt the setup my buddy has. I went to his house the other day and he has a sweet home theater set up in his basement. One wall has a huge screen with a projector, surround sound, etc. He ran his PS3 through it and got a very nice seat/harness with a logitech wheel/pedals/shifter. I sat in this thing and played GRID in this racing seat in front of that huge screen.... it was.... awsome.

Makes me wonder how much fun I'd be having if I hadn't had kids instead. haha

The only sticky in the AVHT forum is Jello's General Home Theater Audio Thread.

Anyways I have a 60'' Sony SXRD 1080P TV with a HK 254 AVR, 5.1 through 2 Infinity Beta 50's, 1 Beta C360, 2 Beta 20's and a Elemental Designs A2-300 sub. I have my PS3 going HDMI to the AVR. My 360 goes component and optical into the AVR. The AVR goes HDMI into my TV and does all the switching.

As long as this thread stays focused on console setups and doesn't veer it is cool. Not all console setups are 90" Screens with 7.1 surround sound systems with ultra-megazoid-woofers. Some are PC LCD screens, some have racing wheel setups, and I think even Spidey is working on a three screen setup.

Here is my 40" Samsung 1080P
Playstation 3 80-gig ( Runng through HDMI )
PS2 Silver Slim ( no power brick )
Logitech Driving Force GT Racing Wheel
Logitech Z-5500 5.1 running through optical from the PS3

The PS3 in the pic is the first one I had. A 40 gig. I now have the 80

My PC is also hooked up to this setup with a Saitek Cyborg Keyboard. But this is for consoles...not PC's.

EDIT: I think some pics of games running on these screens would be good for all to share.

I just have a HD Projector with a 80" screen. 360 & Wii. My audio setup is kind of lacking. Currently running at 3.1 setup. My home theater box is like 5 years old and isnt the best but it works for what i have now. If i had the money id upgrade and go with full surround sound.

TV: Sony 50A3000 SXRD (I sit 6 feet away from the TV so the size is good)
Consoles: Xbox360, PS3, Xbox (only for XBMC these days)
Receiver: Harman-Kardan AVR-330 (no HDMI, the receiver is the next thing I'd upgrade)

Center: Polk LSiC
Surrounds: AV123 Rocket ELT-LRS (they match with the Polks alright)
Subwoofer: Rocket X-Sub (so it's not too crazy since I'm in an apartment)

That sub is pretty dang big. I have mine about a foot off of a corner and it can really put out some nice low frequencies.

TV is a Sony 50A3000 SXRD 50" - This is an incredible gaming TV, you can either play with zero lag in "game mode", or kick on the motion enhancer and magically turn your 30fps games into 120fps, with less lag than most TVs even still. Not to mention the colors are *perfect* out of the box.

Receiver is a 5.1 Panasonic, hooked up to Athena AS-B2s all around (great speakers), with an Athena 8-inch sub that is more sub than my apartment (and neighbors) can handle.

Connected to it is a Wii (component), 360 (HDMI), Dreamcast (VGA), Super Nintendo (S-video) and HTPC (HDMI).

The HTPC is my pride and joy - gaming wise, its running Vista Home with GameEx as a front end for emulation of every system that isnt already hooked up, all set up to scale/interpolate the graphics to 1080p (using hqx filters for 2d and 1080p rendering for n64/PSX). Everything is controlled with a wireless logitech rumblepad that has all the right buttons in the right places, with keyboard emulation to make sure the L2/R2 buttons control savestates = effortless quicksave/load in pain the ass hard old school games FTW. I declare that there is no finer retro gaming setup in the known world.

It's a beast compared to my old down-firing Dayton 12" 150W which is ~40lbs. Size comparison. The A2-300 has been a very nice quality improvement.

Yeah eventually. It hasn't been a very high priority.
