Didn't know they had a Scotch. How is it?

I drink Macallan 12 year. I'd rather drink the 18 year but that's for very special occasions as the 25 year is lovely.

A good VSOP or XO Cognac is nice

Tito's Vodka is good enough to drink straight.

They only get in shipments a few times a year, and if you don't get some within a week or two, you're probably going to be waiting for the next shipment.
I quite enjoy it.

pretty much buy a handle every week or 2.

I used to enjoy that. But then a few years ago a buddy chugged 1/4th a bottle and threw it up all over the kitchen. after that and smelling it i can't drink it anymore.

Since moving to Kentucky I've got fully hooked on bourbon. Old Fashioned is my go-to mixed drink now. I tend to keep three different bourbons on hand at any given time.

Trader Joe's $15 a bottle bourbon for mixing stuff like Bourbon and Ginger beer(in a copper cup this is a fantastic drink).

Buffalo Trace or Makers Mark for mixing stuff like old fashioned or manhattans where there isn't as much in the way of mixers.

Then something like Makers 46 or a small batch select for sipping straight.

I like a Manhattan myself, do not even drink hard that much these days.

I prefer a couple good Gin Martini's shaken with the Vermouth waved at it myself, if we out to dinner occasionally. The wife drives then, she rarely drinks.

A good Scotch/Bourbon neat is always good also at occasions.

Don't go for the hard stuff much but when I do I usually have a Cuba Libre; Bacardi 8 anos, Coke, and lime juice.

Depending on my mood:

Scotch on the rocks: JW Black or Dewars
Whiskey on the rocks: Bulleit Rye or Makers
Lite beer + tequila straight: Hornitos or Don Julio

I rarely drink mixed drinks but when I do it will either be a Negroni or Salty Dog.

I do the Double Oaked though.

I LOVE Irish mules.
- Bundaberg ginger beer (MUST use this...it's the best)
- bruised mint leaf
- lime slice
- large ice globe in a rock glass
- 2 shots of Woodford

Drink at least one every Saturday.

Double oak is amazing. Please tell me you don't mix with that though! That's a straight up sipping bourbon. If I'm doing mules I just use something cheap. The ginger beer and mint drown out any subtle quality of high end stuff.

I do mix it. It doesn't taste right with crap stuff. I do occasionally use Gentleman Jack as well.I'm a bourbon fan so it gets plenty of "splash of water with whisky stones" action

TX Whiskey out of Firestone in Fort Worth, TX. Fantastic, smooth, great vanilla.

Angel's Envy - fav bourbon.

And my new favorite, albeit at a very limited quantity: Nikka G&G, courtesy of my BIL stationed in Japan. Cannot believe how expensive it is trying to acquire here in the states - every sip is savored from start to finish. I don't have anything else in my collection at 1/5 of the price.

I keep some of the vodka around for whatever. The cucumber flavored is nice with tonic. Haven't tried their Gin.

Also, they're a local outfit. So I get double-hipster points and I'm not even drinking craft microbrew!

I wish I loved tequila..I spent 60 days straight drinking it at Canada's Wonderland one summer many years ago. Now I will puke just smelling it.

I'm a simple man with simple tastes.

I suggest you try AP dark horse, WAY better @ $30 for Canadian whisky
