My result based on your instructions is humorously high. My SAT converts to 99.96 percentile which can't possibly be right. I can think of 10 people off the top of my head who did as well or better than me. And I don't know the SAT scores of the vast majority of people I know.

I don't remember what I got on the GRE, and I just took it last year. But the percentiles for it were 80th for verbal and writing, and 75th for quantitative (I am a total math retard). Oh, and I got a 115 on an online IQ test once, and factoring in the 20 point curve that online IQ tests throw, I have an IQ of 95, so about 200,000,000 people are smarter than me.

I do. But I went to a magnet high-school in a place where the average IQ is 85 and am now in a Ph.D. program.

I'm saying something much stronger than that. I'm saying I can name those 10 people off the top of my head. I think out of the pool of people I know there are probably many more. I was pretty close friends with 2 people who got 2400s. Practically everyone I work with now is smarter than me.. Looking into this percentile thing would have done the opposite of humble me if I didn't already know there are throngs of people out there who crush me intellectually.

Took the SAT about a year and a half ago, I think I got a 690 on the verbal section and a 520 on the math (math retard here) so 1210 V+M is according to that website an IQ of 123.94 or about 94.5 percentile I think.

I got 1560/1600 on my SAT on second try, it wasn't really that hard. First time I took it I didn't study at all and got a 1430, second time I only studied a little bit. I could have gone to the top colleges if I had been more dedicated, my sister did (she got a 1600) and I am about as intelligent as her. Yeah but I am a lazy ass. I don't think SATs are a very good IQ test though. I also have a twin brother who got 1550, so yeah I know three people just in my immediate family that scored over 1540 on the SAT.

ASVAB I scored 89th percentile when I was 15, shit was way easy... Tho my classmate scored 28th percentile (she was ditsy though :hmm: )

Well I scored 135 on a real IQ test (not an internet one) and I only scored 1190 on my SAT back in the day, so I'd take that conversion equation with a grain of salt (I had a pretty shitty school experience).

I did take a short one in high school for a class which I was told tends score about 10 higher than the real one.

Which leaves it at maybe 12,936,729.4 people.

In reality it's hard to really say since any IQ test given after the start of formal schooling will be heavily influenced by that education.

According to the SAT to IQ conversion chart, my IQ is 157 (SD 15). That's remarkably close to my measured score at age 12, which was the last time I was measured.

My GRE score would make me 158. HOORAY! I'm a genius!

Seriously, though, people should not put much faith into those tests.

Never took the GRE except the geology portion as it was required by the university in Athens, Georgia when I applied for graduate studies there. I do know my IQ was 146 or 147 from WAIS-R testing in my late twenties.
