How are you liking that connection?

I was supposed to get those exact speeds you're getting, but
I had to renew my subscription contract with Comcast to get
my services for $128.00 per month for phone, cable t.v. and cable internet
for the next 3 months or so....

Its still not a bad deal though and I always have the option to upgrade
to a 50/10 connection for $10.00 more per month later on if need be...

Love it. I loved it before when I had 30/6 and now I get 50/10 for the same price. Internet never goes down, I have zero issues with it.

Just make sure you have a DOCSIS 3.0 modem, I had a DOCSIS 2.0 when they sent me the email notification that my speeds went to 50/10 and I was only getting 33/11 and then I remembered that my modem was DOCSIS 2.0, so I went and bought a brand new Motorola SB6121 for $60 shipped and now I get constant 55/11

Yeah I actually went to a local Comcast branch store and they gave me a free "SMC networks" cable modem with built in wifi router and it works REALLY well. No need for me to use my belkin wifi router anymore... The Arris modem I had before was like a busted nut...

Modems with built in router's blow. I would get their Netgear router that they give you for free and go buy a Motorola Surfboard 6000 series modem personally. But to each their own.

Agreed.

Luckily most of those modems with a router will allow you to go into bridge mode and it will just work as a modem and you can use your own router.

WTF! I live in Loveland and have "blast" and don't see those speeds.

Is your modem DOCSIS 3.0? Does your area say those speeds are supported? If yes on the latter then google your modem's serial # and see if it is DOCSIS 2.0 or 3.0. If you're supposed to be getting 50 per Comcast but you're not, it's most likely that your modem is 2.0 and not 3.0

Question? Is that connection your SUSTAINED rate speed? Or is it like Comcast with the acceleration (speed boost) rate?

sustained I am sure

the connections I sit on at work are 40gb(+100GB) outbound total

I will never get a speedtest to show that of course

students are gone and its summer lull

I went into the modem via 192.168.100.1 and saw that it was DOCSIS 3.0 It actually a new modem since the last one stopped working. I'm going to give them a call and see what plan we have.

At work: 2.7 U/ 2.9 D

My company prefers to stick with T1 lines as opposed to going with business cable...

Fios Quantum, outside of Boston. Honestly I haven't noticed any real difference between the old 20/20 and the new 50/25. Seems like for most stuff anything over 15mb is fine.
