riva TNT2 Vanta 16MB (or was it 32MB?) - utter POS, but at the time i was so happy, it was part of my first computer
Inno 3D Geforce 2 Titanium 64MB - replaced the Vanta in the same computer, had lot of problems with it (still do not know why, maybe weak PSU)
MSI Geforce 6600GT 128MB - first decent GPU i had, was part of my new Athlon64 build, allowed me to play again NHL 06, Age of Empires 3, Homeworld 2....but it could not run Half-Life 2 Lost Coast at 30 FPS for example...still, i was quite happy with it
Gainward Radeon HD 4870 512MB - was first "high-end" GPU i had, could run Crysis 1 on it at 1024*768 quite fluently...but it was very very loud, even at idle, as one of 2 fans it had could not be regulated and run nonstop at 50 percent (i think)...i was getting used to it for quite a long time, the 6600 was silent compared to it. My only ATi card...
Gainward GTX460 GS 1GB Goes Like Hell - build last summer for this system, ran very good and reasonably silent, but i sold it after maybe 2 months, as i started to play around with CUDA and needed more VRAM, at least i thought so and wanted to be "prepared" for any case...
Gainward GTX460 GS 2GB - bought basically the same card instead, with lesser clocks and more RAM and later second for SLI (the reason was CUDA again, needed more rendering power). Found out SLI was a bad idea, very hot a noisy solution, in the end i was using one card only LOL)... money down the drain...and later found out the GTX470 was at the same price as 2GB 460,aaaah....awful string of choices
Gainward GTX590 3GB - sold one of the 460s to my buddy, put the other into the box (and now cant decide whether to sell it too or keep it and replace the 4870 in my older machine with it...) and 3 weeks ago bought 590 instead. Best card i had so far, powerful, but reasonably silent...but obviously the most expensive one. Never thought i would own dual-card one day, but then again never thought would have SLI
