Due to my ti4200 currently being repaired, I was forced to use a 32mb tnt2 m64 for this. Cpu was a 1.8ghz p4 with 512mb ddr.

I'm quite happy my tnt2 was able to average over 5fps

For ease of readability, we should cut out everything but the settings and overall FPS line. Don't forget to put CPU speed and card clocks.

Quite a bit different from Anand's benchies huh? I guess that has to do with my card running at 490/950 for these tests.

Anad ran with every graphics option turned ON except AA and that's why the scores are very different

eeryone NEEDS TO TURN ON BUMBMAPPING AND SHADOWS!!!

You can't tell me you'd play without those features on. Becides you are saying "It runs circles around Anad's test" and "It runs so fasr it's a joke" but you're leaving off the 2 most important features for the game's graphics IMO.

The default is to have shadows OFF, bumps ON. Unless we test with the same settings, comparisons are impossible and benchmarking useless.

Hmmm... you're right, I guess they did have shadows turned on... I guess I overlooked that since they said it's a simple download and run. I figured "download and run" meant default settings. And by default, shadows are off.

Yes, I can tell you I play without shadows... I never have shadows turned on in ANY game I play. It does nothing for me in terms of enjoying the game or making it more realistic looking to me. But for your sake... I'll run the benchmark again with shadows on.

hrm...well, then Doom3 will be crap for you because without shadows the game is Quake 1 all over again...can you say overbright

You can't tell me you'd play without those features on. Becides you are saying "It runs circles around Anad's test" and "It runs so fasr it's a joke" but you're leaving off the 2 most important features for the game's graphics IMO.
Just click the box to include "shadows" and run the demo demo again. It makes a big difference in performance.

Here are my results for the following:-

athlon xp 2500 (barton)
asrock sis746fx motherboard
crucial pc2700 memory
128mb MSI Geforce4 Ti4200 with v45.23 drivers

What's slowing me down is the onboard audio but the results aren't too bad.
