Potable Water Hoses

Knowing the exact need now, I'd get the RV hoses too.

Hoses are often made from PVC whichs leeches lead and other nasty crap into the water. PVC is really horrible stuff from an environmental perspective. Shame it's so useful...

It's a shame that just about every mouthful of water you will ever drink has passed through PVC pipe.

You can get them at Wal-Mart believe it or not. They are white (and as others mentioned in the RV section). I don't mind drinking out of normal hoses, but with these you don't get the "hose flavored" aftertaste.

Does anyone know if any chain/type of store that sells potable water hoses? I need some pretty quick and have struck out with every place I have checked.

I am on the south-side of Atlanta if anyone knows a local store.

Edit: I've checked Home Depot, Lowes, and ACE hardware. All of them have some on there website, not in store.

Wall mart sells hoses for RV's that are for potable water. Look for a white hose.

It's a shame that just about every mouthful of water you will ever drink has passed through PVC pipe.

That's not the same as PVC "garden Hose" which requires several chemical additives to make it "rubbery". It's these additives which are harmful in drinking water.
