I have an amd xp 1800 on the way and i currently have a 300 watt sparkle power supply.
i was lookin at two of the enermax power supplies with the manual adjustable fans and
was wondering should i get the 350 watt for 67 bucks or the 400 watt for 81 dollars?

thanks for the input guys

i would also like to hear from anyone that has an enermax power supply
i've herd they are good quality but are they worth the price?

It really depends on what your rig consists of (ie. how many drives, fans, on board periphs etc.).
I just got my enermax 350 w/ adjustable fan control. It's definitely worth it. There is big difference in
noise reduction. It QUIET; not mention heavy. It's well built and should last a long time without a hitch.

How about you see if your 300W sparke works? If your sytem runs fine and it's stable, why bother spending $$ on new PSU?

I have an XP 1800. I tried the Sparkle 300, and it just didn't work for me. I got the Enermax EG465P-VE, and it's working fine now. It's actually a long story, and was a source of a lot of frustrations when I ran into a lot of stability issues. If you have the Geforce 3 (as I do and found that it needed a lot of power) my personal recommendation is for the Enermax 400 and greater.

Try the sparkle first. I use an old sparkle 235 watt, and the 5v rail reads 4.95 and the 12v is 11.92. Running my 1700 xp at 137 fsb and actually lowered my cpu voltage from 1.74 to 1.64 for lower temps in an old desktop case that isn't well vented.

I`m using the Enermax 431w(465-VE) for my 1700+ and Epox 8KHA+ it`s been great for stability and I think you can never have too much power IMHO,for recommended PSUs for your 1800+ go here .
