A couple of months ago built my wife a "cheap" system to take on a job assignment. She really didn't want a full sized tower system, I didn't want to buy her a "cube" (already had all the other parts) so I settled on a "Book PC 6985" style. After 2 months of running- my wife called and said that the side and the top of it was too hot to touch- according to the Temp Monitor it was over 180!!!!!! Heck, I'm surprised it was still running!!!!!
Finally got a chance to check on it- the PS fan had died. Becuase it's a odd size (Approx 5"X3"X2 1/2") thought I'd just replace it- upon removing the cover- found a blown condenser- and several others look awfully discolored. I think it will not be long before I'll be replacing it- But does anyone have a line on these? Think I've found the manufactuer (Key Mouse Electronic Enterprises Co. ltd), and Part Numbers (Either PD-180 or PD-230), but have yet to come up with a US supplier of them- Ideas?
