Power Supply Issue???

OK. Here are some of my specs with my backup PC:

- AMD A6-7400K
- ASRock FM2A88M-HD+
- 16GB (2x8GB) Crucial DDR3 1600
- Integrated Graphics
- Samsung 840 SSD
- Corsair CS650M PSU
- HP Pavilion 27xi monitor (using HDMI)

The problem I'm having is that when I try to bring the system out of sleep, the monitor can't find the graphics connection. It automatically searches the VGA, DVI, HDMI ports but can't seem to find the active port (HDMI).

Could this be a PSU Problem?

The reason I ask this is that I was using a Corsair CX430 PSU in the system until a week ago without any problems at all, waking from sleep or otherwise. Only reason I removed the CX430 was because sometimes the fan would get too loud and annoying (crappy fan I'm sure). So I replaced the CX430 w/a CS650M. That's the only change I made to the PC, and now with the CS650M I'm having this weird wake from sleep problem. I have to reboot the PC when this happens in order to get graphics again when the monitor fails to find the HDMI connection when the PC comes out of sleep.

Have you tried leaving the monitor on? Does it have built in sleep anyway? Do you leave it on 24/7? Let it go into sleep mode, then cycle power on the monitor(you'll have your answer).

Yes, I leave the monitor on - signal doesn't come back when I bring PC out of sleep. Monitor has built-in sleep/power management but it's disabled. Don't leave the PC/Monitor on 24/7. I either sleep (when possible) or shut it down. I let it go into sleep mode with the monitor on. I woke up the PC, turned the monitor off, then on, still can't find the video signal. I even swapped out the HDMI cable and connected the monitor to PC via DVI - same problem. WTF!

Hi guys
Got a high end gaming PC, so it's getting hammered, only just got cos I've just retired and my birthday was coming up, no I'm not in my late 60s. I'm only 45. So I retired due to a spinal injury, finding it harder and harder to do my job. Anyway my question, PC is working 100%. No worries there, but the main power switch at the back of the PSU won't turn the power off. Will this develop into a bigger problem or will damage any of my hardware.
Need be I will replace the unit with another. Any ideas.
