THATS the part I hated. DON'T get me wrong, I am in like 3 pools.
01/01/12 they DOUBLED the price.

DIDN'T increase the opportunities to win. Just made the big prize bigger.
That was a CRAZY scam. So now, spend twice as much to have the same tiny chance of winning.

I would have prefered more ways to win, with smaller prizes and bulk up the lower prizes too.
Hit 4 out of 6 numbers and be prepared to cry.

Winning 50 bucks ONCE in a blue moon would go so far...

BUT, after three months of declines, Jan-Mar, ticket sales for this year have already passed last year.

I'd have to hide mine. My aunt would be bringing every stray, needy person, and total failure to my door to be rescued. And I couldn't say no.

I could easily live off $100k per year for almost 50 years. I'd give my boss a couple of months notice, so that they can find a good replacement and get her fully trained. Then I'd pretend to be laid off and sucking up unemployment benefits, while I do some traveling. After a while, I'd pretend to be disabled and living off SS disability payments. Other than that, my life wouldn't change very much. I'd volunteer more, and it would be great fun to drop hundred-dollar bills in red kettles.

Down here, it is at 9 p.m. Central Time but I would not wait until the last minute. There were stories about machines that broken down/slow down due to excessive usage/software gliches. You don't want that happens to you for sure.

Actually they did make it "easier" to win when they bumped the price up.

The "enriched Powerball game" will still have participants choosing their first five numbers from a pool of 59, but the numbers available for the Powerball itself will drop to 35 from 39. That will raise the odds of winning to 1 in 175 million from 1 in 192 million.
