vivi why you no take bitcoin?
Sorry guys, I'm in. I know if I skipped this pool it would be a winner, guaranteed.
Go for it! You know you've got $2 burning a hole in your pocket.
Bought 2 tickets Wednesday and did not get even one number correct.
Will try again for this Wednesday drawing.
So if we do it again, you guys want a $10 buyin? No shares, using venmo?
Chase quickpay? I'm going to send you money with chasequickpay.
Unable to send chase quickpay without your name and number. :X
For over a billion dollars there isn't anywhere that he could hide from ATOT so I wouldn't be too concerned. A smaller winning and he could probably slip under the radar but if he posts the numbers online beforehand even that would be hard.
And then what are you going to do, beat him up? I'm not saying he's the type to run and hide (I've done his pools before and he always scans the tickets for us)... I'm just saying there is literally no legally binding way to get the money from an online pool from what I've read. We could be as mad as we wanted and know exactly where his gigantic mansion is, and do nothing about it but cry.
Nevermind the fact that the way it's being done means that any winnings given out to the pool would most likely fall under gift tax... so not only would we take a tax hit, and the cash hit, the gift giver is required to pay taxes on any gifts given out past a certain amount which this most certainly falls under.

It's just a lot more complicated than getting some money from your buddy. The amount of money changing hands is not something that's done easily.

I love long shots so I'm swimming in this pool again...should have shown up through Amazon already
we could all appear at the lotto office and have them split the $ before taxes, like if an office pool won.
btw Vivi- does MN have a rule that says you don't have to reveal the person who won?

Ya I think in a previous pool we mentioned meeting up in Minnesota for the greatest ATOT hookers and blow party ever was the plan in the event of a large jackpot.
Did it right after the paymentmake sure to fill that form out!

No idea why they do that. You never hear happy stories about the people who won, only about the ones who go broke or come to some untimely demise.
Given the option, I'd claim it through my lawyer and buy a vast estate in New Zealand or Scotland. Maybe both.
Yeah, a drive to ND, crazy talk. That is a little outta the way.
