That, I didn't think of.It's probably coming into question because people under 18 can't legally gamble and probably can't(shouldn't) be included in the group buy.
I just realized... if a rich person, like a billionaire, really wanted to be an effing asshole, he would go buy all the combinations. Even if he has to split the winnings 2 or 3 ways, he might still break even. Otherwise, he's a billionaire, it'd be solid entertainment to piss the masses off -- or the poverty people he has to share the winnings with.

What are the odds of the powerball reaching 1 quadrillion? Because in that case it actually should be cancelled and the money spread out evenly to end US poverty.

You also are bad at math.
depends.
If it goes to Vivi then the split...then very likely no problem
If it is split at once, at the beginning, which seems possible and is better taxwise?, then that could be a problem....or someone agree to share with the 18 year old then just write a cheque...though that is another tax issue, if I am not mistaken.

I've heard that in the past someone tried, but the people in charge of the lottery wouldn't allow it. Meaning that if you want to buy every possible combination you have to physically go do it in person.
With a national effort to get the jackpot that high , and then a little bit of luck in not having it go off too soon, it can be accomplished.
To think that much money even exists makes you bad at math.
They could always print more money specifically so the lottery could continue to give us something to dream about.

The money already exists because people spent $1.5billion on lottery tickets.
A human hamster wheel. This really should be the ultimate aim of government.
