windvd plays back full rips of dvds just fine. just select the video_ts folder single click then open for full menus etc.
the playback at up to 2x with normalized sound makes it better then powerdvd. many special features greatly benifit from a speedup. like commentaries..sorry, they aren't that info dense...

I do have to admit, playing for HD, PowerDVD is better than WinDVD. But since I mount the DVD image with Daemon Tools, that's a moot point. I just find WinDVD a far better program than PowerDVD.

i cant get PowerDVD to work with ripped DVDs and Daemon Tools. no problem with WinDVD.

I agree that PowerDVD is a LOT better than WinDVD.
But, I like Nero Showtime more than PowerDVD.

don't even need daemon tools or image files, just rip vobs and files into video_ts folder and use "open folder"

DVD Shrink -> ISO -> Daemon Tools -> MCE2005 & "My Movies"

Anyone know of a tool that will decompress RAR/ZIP images and auto-mount them w/ Daemon Tools? Might cut down on some disk space, but take longer to get things going.
