tempting, selling both the hardrives away for $200-250(list $400 on pricewatch and $300 on ebay) each will make it a deal of the year candidate.

If you really want to run a faster server, what might be an possible thing to do is to sell the Xeon 2.0ghz for say $170 (goes for $200 NIB), and pick up a 2.4ghz XEON for $220, instead of having Dell gouge you on upgrading to the 2.4ghz for $100.

Also, this in addition to all the PC2100 ram deals makes an excellent time to buy a new server.

I am chomping at the bit to get the sc600 but have heard that they are hella loud and use proprietary case fans. Any thoughts, experiences, etc?

Seems you can double the RAM at no extra cost as well .... very tempting - it's a deal just for the drives alone - anyone know what 10k drives these are??

If you do that, kiss your $100 MIR goodbye, and considering you can get a stick of PC2100 Crucial for $58 after tax and shipping from Crucial.com, its not worth it.

did you uncheck all of the "extras" boxes (i.e., the 3-yr warranty)?
did you go through the small business site?

$799 is as low as it can get. At this point you should apply the 15% off coupon. That brings it down by $120 to $680. Then the $100 MIR brings it down to $580.

From what I have read, there is no AGP slot on this computer, just onboard graphics. This pretty much rules this computer out for gamers and might even rule it out for people doing intensive graphics work with something like Photoshop.
