One of the better decent crappy P/S. Fine price and shipping included. Ordered two and have used this P/S numerous times, including AMD systems with nary a problem.

Thanks to the TwinMos thread where I found this P/S.

SVC has the same price but you have to pay shipping.

I bought a case from Compgeeks with this PS in it, and it went bad. The shipped out the wrong model first, and then provided me with one of the high end ones with the extra fan on the inside. It would invariably reboot or shutdown the computer within 20 or 30 minutes. I'm still waiting for a working replacement, it's been 4 months total. So I would strongly suggest checking into other brands.

I have had three RMA P/S in the fifty+ P/S and cases I have purchased in the last year, one was this P/S. CG returned another one right away. I usually keep a spare cheapy around. At this price I consider it a disposable and not worth the RMA hassle.

What do you want? Better? Spend $40 more - get an Antec, or an Enermax.

This power supply is adequately named 'po'max for Poor people! I'd be worried running expensive equipment on this ps!

Better to go with a Sparkle SPI 300 watt. Although its less voltage, its just better. There was a deal for one for $15 a while back.

Don't comment if you have no experience... I have this PS in my main AMD o'clocking rig and I've had zero problems so far. I've had it for over a year now.

It's still a POS in it's own right (yes, I have one of them and it works fine)

i got this ps a while back to run an inexpensive gigabyte 266a system. The ps worked for about two weeks, than oddly would no longer boot the system. I then transfered the power supply to an older kt7a-raid system and it has worked without a hitch...go fig

Where in the world do some people get their opions? Thye just look at a power supply and think that because its reasonable it must be a piece of junk. Well let me tell you. I have this Powersupply in a case that has 6 scsi 10k rpm drives, 2 ide drives (of course i have a supermicro full tower), a 2100+ overcocked to about 2200mhz on a epox 8dra+. Is that overclocking enough for you?

Ordered one of these last week, they finally showed up on Wednesday for Will Call (of course, I didn't get the 11.99 price...). PC health monitor reflects the 3.3V rail being a little low (~3.18V), everything else appears nominal.

It's all good guys, don't get pissed cause we are making fun of it. If it works for you thats great. I am using a turbolink powersupply and it works fine so I think these inexpensive ps should work. It's just funny how we all spend hella money on parts such as videocards and nice motherboards, yet run our system on cheap priced powersupplies. Oh well we are all bargain hunters I guess!

Have heard negative things about PowMax supplies in the past, but for $12, just buy three and keep the one the works best.

dealmaker, i recently opened up a dead turbolink 420W and was shocked at how bad it was... all components undersized, popped caps, NO input filters including no surge protection. You'd be better off with the hamster-on-meth that pspada has.

excuse me, but I've had 3 of these PSU's and version all 3 have died on me within a 2 month max duration. My longest one lasted almost 2 months when it died while trying to o/c. I requested RMA's from Powmax and the company which I bought them from, with no luck. Although... I hear they are better for lower class CPU/mobos. You have no clue if I have had experience with these PSU's or now, how would you know? Heh but, anyhow thats my 2 cents.

I ordered one of these recently and it was dead right out of the box. Waiting on a replacement now. But to be fair it came from a different seller.

It is a good PSU of the low end, crappy brands. I've used these in "cheapie" systems. I wouldn't put one in a top-of-the line system, though. I wouldn't risk it. But, this is an excellent price for those who want to use it in low to medium priced systems. Thanks for the deal!
