LOL, that last touch at the end. That could be a comedy sketch.Watch the whole confrontation. The PR guy later gets up in the reporters face and messes with their camera.

there are differences in suing and calling the cops. The reporter asked him 3-4 times to stop touching him. even walked away from him. yet the guy continued.
sad part is if the guy used force to make him stop he could get sued.
best thing is to call the cops.
Pushy reporters may be annoying fucks, but they're also a cornerstone of an effective democracy.
And anyone that would even consider suing or filing assault charges for a touch on the shoulder is a whiny crybaby pussy and perfectly exemplifies why your country is turning to shit.
SO MUCH POTENTIAL
i was waiting for the guy to punch him...............
I would have pushed the guy, hard. Hard enough to know I mean business. If he kept doing it then I would have hit him and any "justice" system that would punish me for that is not a system I would want to be involved in.he was starting a confrontation. 9/10 people would have punched the guy after repeatably being touched after enough warning not to. anyone who wouldnt, like yourself, are just pansies.

The PR guy was definitely baiting the reporter. It was his job to run interference and he did a pretty damn good job.
Even as he was touching the reporter, he was smiling and giving his cheesy intro. The reporter would have been hard pressed to just knock the guy out for this pretty harmless touching.
They both knew this, so despite all the huffing and puffing, there was nothing the reporter could really do but take it. His only other options were to get violent or call the cops. Either way, the PR did his job.
wow ok that guy is fucking nuts. then he blames it on the reporter. classic.
ABC7's Dan Noyes has encountered cold shoulders and hostility while interviewing subjects for a controversial story. But a run-in with a Laguna Honda Hospital official even shocked him.
Noyes was probing allegations that Laguna Honda administrators used money from the Patient Gift Fund -- funds donated to patients -- to buy catered meals and airline tickets, among other things. According to Noyes, "Hospital Director Mivic Hirose ignored our phone calls for an interview. So, we showed up at her town hall meeting at the hospital." That's when the chief of community relations Marc Slavin stepped in and repeatedly patted Noyes with a hand. Each time, Noyes warned, "Do not touch me," and one point Noyes threatened to call the cops. But like a brother bugging his little sister, Slavin continued his touchy-feely ways with Noyes and the camerawoman.
I weep for humanity when people are "thata boy"ing the PR creep

Of course, that is their spin on this story...big shock that it paints the PR guy in a bad light.

ABC7's Dan Noyes . . . a run-in with a Laguna Honda Hospital official even shocked him.

. . .Marc Slavin stepped in and repeatedly patted Noyes with a hand.
Bu, bu, but, your honor, he, he, he patted me, repeatedly!
Repeatedly? Teh noes, Noyes! D:
As a ratings hungry, scandal hunting camera hog, if this is all it takes to SHOCK Big Dan, then he and you ought to go somewhere off camera and have a good, cleansing cry together!
The PR guy did his job. After the very first time the Director refused to answer any questions, the rest was just Big Dan posing for the cameras and needlessly interfering with a town hall meeting.
No info was ever going to be forthcoming!
The hospital is private property and THEY had the right to demand that Big Dan get the fuck off of it.
What cynically over-hyped horseshit!
If there was a real story there, it wasn't going to come out as a result of that faux for the cameras confrontation.
Slavin's boss, Director of Public Health Mitch Katz, declined an on camera interview, but he said Slavin's behavior was "unprofessional." He would not say whether Slavin faces discipline, or even if he still works at Laguna Honda, because it is a personnel issue.
Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center is a city-owned acute care hospital providing long term care and rehabilitation services to seniors and adults with disabilities in San Francisco, CA.
