Prank Craiglist ads?

My friend's phone has the worst reception ever and it's impossible to get in contact with him (he doesn't even get reception in his dorm room). He's been talking for a few weeks about getting a Verizon phone but never does. In the meantime, I get calls from people trying to find out where he is so I'm basically forced to act like a middleman. Right now he's working on a group project for one of his classes so I'm getting calls daily. Anyways, I was thinking it would be amusing to put up a fake craigslist ad about selling his phone as a gentle reminder to him to get off his ass. In addition to pissing him off, could I get in legitimate trouble for posting his cell phone number online?

My friends do something like that all the time. Basically we put someone's car in the local PennySaver for like $6000 under value. Thier phones get absolutely flooded with calls trying to buy thier car. Good shit.

The only time I have done something like this is when a scalper was selling tickets over 3X face value to a concert. He had his number in the listing so i made a listing for face value and left his number. The guy went apeshit emailing the listing and making other listings cursing me... Good stuff.
