What's up people? I'm a new user and just wanted to let peeps know 'bout my new prebuilt that's comin' in (2nd PC ever since '01, it was an HP). Just ordered it earlier (April 4, 2008 @ around 5:00 or so). Anyways, here are the specs, I hope you guys give me a feedback, wish i would've asked for opinions first, but here u go:
Specs
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 OEM
X48 DFI T2R (the bios looks so confusing just checking the reviews - i hope i don't get too lost)
4gb Mushkin DDR2 (w/ heatsink) 2x2gb 5-5-5-18
500gb SATA Seagate Barracuda 32mb cache
HD 3870 GDDR4 OEM (3rd party brand - didn't really care too much though as i'm not going to game often or at all, maybe I'll try Crysis, just really wanted HD w/ HDCP though)
Coolermaster CM 690 Black
OCZ 600W Stealthxstream Crossfire
Artic Cooler Pro 7
20x SATA LG DVD Burner
Vista Home Premium x32
(and LG GGW-H20L 6x Blu-ray Burner, ordered prior PC - hope it's good!)
Total of prebuilt w/ shipping & full coverage insurance ~ $1450 USD
LG GGW-H20L - $280 USD from newegg
--Plus, I already have a Westinghouse 24'' LN2410NM (bought @ end of Jan '08) which was $490 USD w/ 3 yr warranty - it has HDMI, VGA, Component, Composite and S-Video... BTW PS3 looks as good(but way brighter) as our Bravia 1080p.
Questions I Got for Anyone(Feel free to go at it)?
- Anyways, should I have gone for 790i (although I've heard x48 runs cooler) with an OEM 8800gt 512mb and upgrade in future?
- Can Bluetooth keyboard access BIOs? Cause I want to buy one w/ Cirago Micro Dongle, but I'm unsure, I know for a fact that RF can access BIOs though as I have one, it's old though and the mouse died within two months by Rosewill.
- And can a Q9450 get to 3.2ghz on stock volts, isn't stock set @ 1.2v? I want to try 400mhzx8 maybe soon after i get it. I encode lots of videos and music...
Thanks to anyone who's kind enough to answer or give feedbacks!
Steve
