The liberals in this forum will be falling over themselves to say how well spoken Kerry is.. how stupid he makes Bush look.. how he will unite America.. how he will fix all the problems in Iraq, how he will mend all of our international relationships.. how he will fix the economy.. how he will create more jobs...

All this, and Kerry will be as partisan as ever, offer no specifics on Iraq, offer no specifics on the economy (Since there is nothing wrong with it), offer no specifics on jobs, taxes, international relations, etc...

But, we will get all the liberals just falling over themselves praising him.. But ultimately it will come down to the standard 'Bush sounds funny so he is stupid' argument that we always get. So, I'll call it right now.. Kerry will offer nothing of substance and the libs will go crazy thinking he did.

Kerry will offer NOTHING but fluff tonight just like he has the whole campaign so far..

fluff is what America wants. It's what all politician provide. It's the same on the Bush side, it's just negative fluff.

Good post though...

Well, it's a rally, not a debate. Nobody's really being specific, they're just working the crowd and pumping everyone up.

Bush does speak like an idiot, but I'm concerned that God is ruling our country and not the people.

my favorite part is "(Since there is nothing wrong with it)" when referring to the economy - Crimson = blind

Nothing wrong with the economy? Whatever you say.

everythign is picture perfect in republican land...ode to being a mindless follower.

If you were a true republican, you'd want fiscal stability, and tax cuts which effect the majority of americans...not the most wealthy.

Thats the different between you and I.. I think you truly believe what you believe, but its wrong.. I don't think you are an idiot, or mindless follower, or any of that.. I just think your beliefs on how you solve our problems are wrong..

But.. keep up the manta.. mindless followers... tax cuts for the rich.. blah blah blah.

when you make statements like nothing is wrong when at least a few things are wrong...any person with half a brain can admit this...

If you look at the data with regards to tax relief...it is obvious who this administration is tending to...and if you look at the figures with regard to fiscal imbalance, you can see it is more than blah blah.

this is exactly what i meant by mindless follower...anything somebody says that goes against your party policy is blah blah.

I bet if bush came out and said - to fix the deficit we are going to raise taxes minimally - you'd still be all for it...blindly following your leader...

What did i post that caused you to say "I just think your beliefs on how you solve our problems are wrong.."

i posted like a sentance...again blindly make assumptions

Actually they won't, because there will be a few different points, i.e. how eloquent and well spoken Bush is; or how he's doing a good job on any of the afforementioned points by the OP.

kerry can speak well even without a script; bush makes himself look stupid
without any help.

President Kerry will:
unite america? - except for the radical right-wingers.
fix all problems in iraq? - bush may have screwed that up too much.
mend international relationships? - no doubt
fix the economy/jobs? will take a couple of years.

I don't think anyone expects Kerry to go into the minutia of his various plans addressing national security, the economy, etc. If you read his web site, he does lay out his plans with some degree of specifics. I wonder if you've even bothered to check there?

Hey Crimson I saw this posted on the Off topic forum in response to a Kerry baseball interview where he was asked about the DH rule and also Pete Rose and couldn't give a straight answer, for some reason your thread reminded me off it.....

Interviewer: Mr. Kerry, do you love your mother?
Kerry: I think motherhood is a wonderful institution and we should all respect the sacrifices our mothers have made
Interviewer: But do you love YOUR mother?
Kerry: My mother is a wonderful person in her own right and is deserving of a son's love
Interviewer: Yes or No, Do YOU love YOUR mother?
Kerry: I'd like to think that all boys love and respect both parents, why should we single out mothers?
Interviewer: ENGLISH MOTHERFVCKER! DO YOU SPEAK IT?

I predict if you continue making posts that are complete flame bait that a vacation will be in your forseeable future. You just love running around and screaming biased views about liberals and yet rarely have anything to offer to a discussion.

Indie, might this be directed towards me? and if so feel free to petition the mods to ban me any time you like....funny how my posts are considered flamebait yet conjur and co post very similar threads with little a word spoken against them. Besides who are you to judge whether or not my posts are "flame bait", the others were only news stories which I found interesting.

and Ars, I do believe the interviewer was Cheney.

No, this has nothing to do with your post, but if you want to get defensive, go ahead. While Conjur may post alot, and sometimes go off tangents, the difference is he usually posts news items, whereas people like the OP like to make sweeping generalized statements of all liberals just so he can get everyone riled up.

Like a few other people said, this is not a debate that Kerry will be speaking at, it is the DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION. What did you think he was going to do? Get up there with a power point and charts and show how he is going to fix the worlds problems? NO. Did Bush get up at his Convention in 2000 and tell everyone exactly how he was going to fix the world? NO. About the most specific thing he said was he wanted to get tax cuts for everyone.

If the libs want to fall all over themselves let them, then next week (or whenever the Republican Convention is) you conservatives can fall all over your self?s when bush gets up and flexes his muscles and shows how great he is because he invaded two countries during his presidency. How great he is that the ECONOMNY is bad, but might be getting better. How great he is because our country is not any safer then it was BEFORE 9/11 (according to the 9/11 commission anyway). We could go on and on about how great Bush is all night, but I will save that for the Republican Convention.

And oh yeah, this is POLITICS, no one ever says exactly how anyone is going to do anything.

The point of the speech is for Kerry to reach out to voters. It is not a speech meant to debate policy. He doesn't want to put ideas too far out of the average voter's reach. George Bush will likely do the same.

Postdiction for tonight...

1. I have no idea about how good Kerry's speech will be.

2. Bush has already done plenty to confirm he's a dumbass.

3. This thread proves Crimson will still be Crimson. What has been will continue to be. Somethings never change.... regardless of reality.

I think my prediction will be more likely. After Kerry's speech, the balloon industry will pop a collective boner.
