Jeb Bush would likely carry Florida and Texas, as well as pretty much any right-leaning state over Clinton. She would hardly "run away with it" even if she did win.

There's also the possibility of Romney, who doesn't have Bush's family baggage.

There's also the fact that Hillary has all the emotional connection and charisma of an eggplant. Even Romney beats her in this department. Call it minor, but people make decisions based on such factors. How do you think Obama won? People latched onto him because he looked like something new and different, both in manner and appearance. Hillary would be the first woman, so she has that, but in manner she might as be the female version of John McCain.
Whatever you say.

I consider myself a conservative, but I would rather not vote for another Bush. After the last election, I may never vote. I don't see any elected officials that even care about the general public.

Winning Texas was never a possibility so that's not up for much debate. But Obama won FL the last 2 elections and Clinton narrowly leads there over Bush in current polls, so how "likely" it is he'd win the state is up for debate. But even with FL and TX won, Bush would be trounced based on current polling against Clinton. By like 100 electoral votes.

There's also the possibility of Romney, who doesn't have Bush's family baggage.

Romney isn't running, he stated so himself.

Hillary Clinton is most certainly more charismatic, at least in public, than Romney. And while that's certainly important, I don't really see it determining the election.

I would love to see Romney win, imho. I think he would be the best fit for this country and he'll finally get to utilize his Binder full of women.

This is a wager bet not a political discussion.

My last presidential prediction was 100%

I predicted Romney nomination and the loss to Obama.

Can you predict if the sun will rise in the east tomorrow morning Nostradamus?

I kind of doubt Jeb Bush (and it's an acronym people, quit calling him Jebediah!) will win it now. He let everyone know he's not big on critical thinking, just like his retarded older brother. Following the track of an easy question or even learning from past mistakes isn't the sure thing with him it should be. The people I know who wanted him in the race now appear depressed and don't want to talk about it! It's like they just found out he's got cancer. Or Scientology.

The GOP has been fucking itself in the ass with a stick so long I'm thinking 2016 isn't even going to be close. With guys like Boehner and McConnell at the head of the party it's kind of hard imagining the country just forgetting the last 8 years of obstructionism and fail.

I'd even take Hillary over another Bush brain donor, but I hope it doesn't come to that.

other than money, what's suggesting that Jeb has a shot at winning the nomination, much less the election? I know it's still way early in the process, but even with the highest name recognition in the field right now, he's still pretty much polling even with Walker/Rubio and not too far ahead of Rand Paul.

I think he's way too moderate, and too out-of-shape when it comes to campaigning, to actually take the primaries unless everyone else implodes.

bear in mind that the guy hasn't run for an elected office since 2002, when his brother had a 90% approval rating, and a helluvalot has changed in the political landscape since then.

It'll be a Bush Clinton election and Clinton will win. I've had a $4,000 bet locked in on it since 2012.

My last presidential prediction was 100%

I predicted Romney nomination and the loss to Obama.

I also predicted Obama winning two terms. I also predicted that George W Bush was a failed businessman and would make a horrible president.
What America doesn't want is another white American failure as president.
That's the only reason a black man was elected, and the reason why Hillary will be our next president.

This, although I judge the chance of everyone else imploding as reasonable high. Beyond that, he wasn't a bad governor but did he accomplish anything of note that recommends him for higher office? Not to my memory anyway. When the truly atrocious state of Florida's child protective services came to light, with children missing for years while social workers reported visitation with them, he made some speeches and, um . . . Anybody?

If the best the Pubbie nominee has to offer is "I'm not Hillary" and "I've raised a lot of money", then he and they deserve to lose in 2016 and beyond, until they use some of that money to buy a clue.

No, now that he utterly blew the Iraq war question.

Unbelievable political blunder.

Interesting thought. I am 99% confident in Bush being in the election but I am only 70% confident in Clinton. Bush is running against a field of jackasses. I believe Clinton may still get better competition among the Democrats. I am about 85% confident that the Democrats will win in the general. So all in all, you have a very reasonable chance of winning that bet. But $4,000!!!??? Jesus Christ man I hope you got some odds!!! That is a stupid bet to make straight up. I think Vegas would probably give you 10 to 1 odds on a bet like that (predicting both nominees, plus the ultimate winner).

It's official. Jeb Bush to announce on the 15th.

With the sheep being steered into choosing Clinton as the savior of the Middle class, everything is falling into place.

Americans like good sheep are gonna vote as expected, results as expected.

in related news..

Rubio is benefiting in part from a growing uncertainty among some top fundraisers about Bush’s ability to resonate with the party base, particularly in the wake of his stumbling answers last month about the Iraq war and his brother, the 43rd president. A Washington Post-ABC News poll this week showed that Bush, who led the GOP field for months, has slipped into a two-way tie for third place.

At a gathering of the Republican Governors Association’s top donors last month in Dallas, one of the main topics of discussion was that Bush appeared less formidable as a candidate than he had a few months ago, according to several participants.

“One consensus seemed to be that, ‘Wow, Jeb is really raising lots of money, but he doesn’t seem to be striking a chord with voters,’ ” said one well-connected Republican who participated in the meeting and spoke on the condition of anonymity to detail private conversations.

With some donors doubting Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio seizes an opening

Women! That's the ticket.
The only mystery left is, who will she pick as vp?

I predict a man, a southerner, someone younger, and very likely from a minority race.
That will blow Jeb out of the water, his chances that is.
