Well, I was just kidding... but being in Cincinnati for the past 5 years and seeing them perform so "wonderfully" (except last year), I have given up hope on them. I don't even know who is playing for them.....

Does anybody else think that the Steelers were extremely lucky last year? As if they made a pack with the devil.

It looks like their luck finally ran out. I hate how the Steelers were talking so much smack before their game with the Bengals. I'm glad Chris Henry put them in their place.

Toothlessburger and the bunch cashed their luck out at the superbowl last year.

Wrong. Broncos in 86-87. They went back again in 2 years . All the fruits of Elway (the greatest QB ever)'s labor.

He said the next year, so he isn't wrong as you claim.

Elway was a football god for sure.

edit: My pick is Bears vs. Cincinatti. Bears have best defense in NFC and if Grossman is healthy, just enough offense to win. Colts are a good team but I like the Bengals defense better. I would almost pick Jags but I'm not sold on Leftwich.

Hawks have to start running a lot better. Alexander's foot injury is not so good. They should really utilize Strong more

LOL. The steelers outperformed the bengals in almost every way in yesterdays game. The defense completely dominated for most of the game. It was a bonehead special teams mistake followed by a fumble from a 2nd running back that cost them the game. To say that the bengals look like a superbowl team is pretty stupid. Palmer was sacked 6 times, fumbled 3 times, and threw 2 interceptions. The bengals defense did NOTHING to stop the run.

I'm gonna go ahead and say colts vs. hawks

Kinda like the way the hawks outperformed the steelers in the superbowl last year? I can dig it...

No, i mean the Broncos went to the SB in 86, and then back in 87. THEN they went again 2 years later. They lost all 3 times. So he was wrong in his claim. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Gotta love overreaction due to a couple of good games. And omg someone said they could see Philly out of the NFC? Who have they beat this year? Thats right, 2 of the 5 worst teams. Who have they lost to? Thats right, someone that just got embarrassed by the Seahawks (whom the eagles will have to beat to come out of the NFC). Thats rediculous.

AFC- Jags, Colts, Bengals, maybe Pats (but most likely next year before they get good again)

NFC - Seahawks, Bears, maybe Cowboys (would have to win on the road so prob not)

If you can't stop a team from breaking 75 yard runs, 43 yard trick plays, and 3rd down and 29, then you're going to have a tough time winning any game. The Seahawks lost the Superbowl because they couldn't match the big plays.

As for the Bengals, you can't count on every team to roll over like the Steelers did, giving the ball away 3 more times than the Bengals (yet they still had a chance to win) - and that's another point; the Steelers weren't the only horrendously sloppy team in that game, the Bengals looked just as sloppy (if not more so; singling out single players as the problem is a lot easier than a swiss cheese O-line giving up sacks left and right, and a D that doesn't seem that improved at all)

Based on the small amount of games played thus far (which is pretty silly), I'd say the Colts have the best chance to represent the AFC.

As for the NFC, I'd say the the Seahawks just dropped out of leading contention because of Alexander's broken foot.

Still holding out for the Saints here. You gotta admit they looked good against Atlanta tonight.

Nah... Now Morice Morris will finally get to show his stuff. He's much more explosive and quicker than Alexander.

Plus, he's not afraid to hit someone before he goes down.

Yeah, I'm going to give Mo Morris the benefit of the doubt, but who knows for how long.. The Hawks are onto the 3rd and 4th string guards and 3rd and 4th string TE's, which isn't very awesome for trying to run on the Bears D. Or Anybody's D for that matter.

I was hoping to see how good the bears really are this coming week (as they were finally up against a quality team). Now if they win you still have to question because #37 is out. However, if they lose it does give a good indication that they need to do some work to get anywhere in the playoffs.

I think Grossman is still a little too prone to make mistakes. Especially against Seattle's speedy defense, he's really going to have to prove himself as a QB. Hasselbeck's going to have to be somewhat on page with his recievers and Morris is going to need have a few decent runs and get at least 50 yards in the game. If that happens, Seattle will win easily.

This is actually a pretty good assessment! I would only add that I think Chi's defense is probably going to overlook Morris as a threat and they may find him running all over the place. Should be a good game!
