From the moment Mueller left the building the Dems needed to grab as much media time as possible pointing out where and why Trump needs to be impeached. The Dems need to soak the airwaves with every damning thing that Mueller confirmed about Trump's obstructing the investigation against him and they need to repeat that as often as Trump keeps repeating that there was no collusion and no obstruction.

The Dems need to get on the offensive hard and drown out Trump's lies and deceptive rhetoric with the facts and truths that were reiterated and confirmed by Mueller at the hearings. They need to keep repeating Mueller's findings against Trump over and over and over again because those findings can't be repeated often enough.

McConnell, his fellow Repubs in the legislature and Barr needs to be called out and at the least censured for the obstructions and false narratives they put in place to protect Trump just as loudly as what was confirmed in the hearings by Mueller.

Dems need to get organized, unify as one, shed the gloves and come out swinging with constant bare knuckle flurries aimed at the diversions, deceptions and outright lies that the Repubs will no doubt shout from the rafters in order to derail the Dem's efforts at either impeaching Trump or beating him and his laptogs in the House and Senate at the polls.

Couldn't listen much because of work, but from what little I watched I think GOP has succeeded in slinging enough mud in the air to negate any points democrats managed to score. We will have to wait a few weeks to know for sure but I have a feeling that there will be no perceptible change in public opinion after the hearing.

It's hard to believe there will be any change in Trump's favor.

What's everyone's prediction for what will happen tomorrow with regards to mueller's testimony in front of Congress?

My prediction? Democrats will end up with a basket full of broken eggs. That is, senior Democrats (Pelosi for example), have put all their faith into a Republican who has already demonstrated an unwillingness to understand the moment we are in and to act accordingly, to help lead the nation towards impeachment.

Super pessimistic I know, but tell me I'm wrong about Mueller based on anything in his past.
day1 of testimony has ended.

did the dems look like rock stars, or idiots?

The Trump funded full court press Internet Disinformation and Lies Campaign has started. The weak and the brainless are already out spreading their lies.

Trump is a criminal as evidenced by the Muller Report and his repeated words saying that Trump is a criminal. The truth never cares what it looks like...

A career Republican telling the truth. There are a few ones left.

Something I'm not liking about this talk of him being indicted once he's out. That just told Turmp that he needs to stay in office no matter what. That means they will do everything they can to make sure that happens. Republicans will enable this because they've chained themselves to Turmp and if he goes out, they'll have a LOT to be answering for (legally speaking I mean).

That's a really weird supposition on your part. You do realize that even if the House brings charges, the Senate will NEVER convict, and Trump will bleat "witch hunt" all during the process, then take a huge victory lap when the Senate lets him off.

Nancy Pelosi is the adult in the room here. It's almost as if you don't like her for other reasons than the one you state here, because you're certainly aware enough to know that what I posted above is true beyond all doubt.

What I know beyond all doubt is that Trump unopposed is a green light for future abuses. Naturally, the Senate won't convict, Trump will do as you say and the Dems will be the party who rolled over and allowed worse than Nixon without much more than shaking heads as far as real action is taken. It's as if you need to invent other reasons to justify the pathetic actions being taken so far. Hey, be my guest but don't complain. What happens is the natural consequence of a lack of a spine in leadership. Are you going to vote Trump if he's impeached? That Reps are going to push the R button a bunch of times?

But taking a stand against evil means that there is no sure guarantee of success. Perhaps we should stand by and just bitch while Trump and his ideological successors learn the lesson that the Nixons of the world are free to act as they choose while others beat their breasts.

Nothing that is done OR NOT DONE will change Trump or his supporters from crying witch hunt. Today Mueller gave more than sufficient grounds for impeachment and heaven forbid we should stand for opposing this in the strongest terms possible.

It seems that Trump is going to get away with everything after all and no one will do more than complain.

Trump already knew that. The alternative is a pardon from President Pence. Picture it- Trump loses the election. The day before inauguration of his succesor, Trump pardons everybody & their dog including Pence, then resigns. Pence is sworn in, then pardons Trump & they all ride off into the sunset. So long, chumps.

There's a reason why he is being investigated, and it's not because of some grand conspiracy of hate against him...it's because he is a shady person with shady dealings, and possibly a criminal.

Lots of people hated Obama but where were the investigations against him? Oh right, he wasn't a shady person and there was nothing to investigate, certainly nothing criminal.

I'm glad you mentioned the reasoning for Trump being investigated. The "shady" stuff with Russia has been proven to be false and now will be proven that it was started under knowingly false pretenses.

No, our end game is to defeat him in the 2020 election, with is pragmatic and possible. And then take that shit to court, stripped of Presidential immunity.

THERE IS ZERO CHANCE of the Senate convicting him, and the upshot would be to make the Dems look feeble, and Trump to look vindicated, and this will only further energize his base.

Politics is the fucking art of the possible. It is a contact sport, and it is NOT played by the Marquis of Queensbury rules.

I want this fucker GONE in 2020, when we can vote him out, not to just look good failing to impeach him, which will only strengthen the chances of a second term for him.

It’s odd that despite repeated requests no conservative will discuss the fact that Mueller said Trump ordered his subordinates to falsify documents in order to obstruct a criminal inquiry.

Any conservative want to answer that? Even one?

It's proven that the Russians engaged in a brilliant campaign in support of Trump. We wouldn't have proof of it had Trump successfully thwarted the investigation. They'll be back, of course, given how well it worked the first time.

Maddow made quite the compelling case for House to follow the money and get the tax returns, based on Mueller's testimony today.

The House needs to open an impeachment investigation, hold hearing, and let the subpoenas fly. They also need to cuff and stuff witnesses who fail to appear. Even if they never get to an impeachment vote, this process needs to start now.

Every time the Dems tried to prove obstruction, Mueller shot them down. They are moving away from the Mueller report and now on to finances. Mr. "I have tons of evidence" Schiff said they are going after Trump's finances now.

Dummies like you keep pulling the lever expecting a juicy steak but you keep getting a nothing burger.

I don't know, he certainly seems to revel in it.

Like, totally exonerated, Man. They don't care if Trump lies. They love him unconditionally. I expect they'll be singing Stand by your Man any time now.

Any thoughts about how Trump ordered his subordinates to falsify documents?
