I think the question is how far do you go on the offensive. I know a lot of people say he should have just starting beating on the 4 girls, but I think he handling himself fine.

It's a tough call...but I agree. He was able to (best of his ability) keep the distance between himself/his girl and the aggressors. If he attacked the girls things could have went south as far as hitting women, etc is concerned.

I don't know if I could have shown the same restraint. If four hooligan bitches started hitting my girlfriend for no apparent reason I probably would have to knock those bitches out.

Because there's more to the story than what the article talks about. His action would make sense if the white pregnant chick was the aggressor, that way his actions are purely defensive and not likely to be considered and assault?

I declare shenanigans. If a group of 5 chicks started attacking a random pregnant girl with the boyfriend nearby, the guy would most certainly deck them all. His actions are entirely inconsistent with the story given.

ok, so i watched the video more carefully and i think is what transpired.
the black girls made some BS claim that the guy/girl stole their iPhone. you can hear one of the black girls repeating loudly "why did you steal my iphone" to convince everyone else on the bus that she was the victim.
when the white girl reached for his/her phone back, they attacked her.

halfway through the video, you can clearly see another girl steal another item from the guy's pocket.

the video clearly shows who the aggressors are, and any judge/juror with their head screwed on straight should make the right judgment.

I read the bus daily, through some very shitty parts of town and there are often "questionable" people on there (in fact I had a run in once or twice with a few punks) and I assure that if I EVER saw ANYONE getting attacked like this I'd step in. WTF was everyone doing while this happened?

The victim being pregnant almost has no baring on the issue (she's due in June so its not like she was really showing that much). Regardless, of her state, what these animals (yes animals) did is appalling.

Did anyone catch the subtle "boarded the bus via the rear doors" portion? so they got on the bus illegally too. Awesome.

Except showing or not in many places attacking one who is pregnant gives stiffer sentencing.

These chicks all had priors, get free bus passes to go to school and then still do the hoodrat thing and board illegally.

The problem is no one wants to call a spade, a spade. This just perpetuates the whole white vs black debate when chicks like these run free.

Locally there was a story that many people that are abused like this in a crime do not come forward out of fear.

Unfortunately, even if these girls do go to jail, they will just come out more hardened, more criminal and better equipped to continue their chosen life of crime. I'm tired of society's wasted efforts to rehabilitate violent criminals that will likely never change.

When young ghetto hoodrats like these know no other way of life but robbing, fighting and stealing what can be done with them? We already mandate by law and pay for them to get a free high school education. We feed them with free lunches and house them with free welfare programs. I couldn't watch the whole video. If you don't want to be racially profiled, don't act like your racial stereotype. All 5 women should be sterilized and sent to prison. I don't want to have to support their delinquent children in the future, "god" knows they won't support them.

They all have criminal records? All the more reason to just be done with them. Drop them off 10 miles out to sea. If they make it back then they are worthy of living. If they don't, well at least something gets to eat their bodies and have then given something back to the world, because you can guarantee they are going to be nothing more than a drain on society if left alive.

Again in that situation I think the boyfriend handled it fine and i don't think he was being a pussy. If anything the people that needed to do something were the other passengers. Even just to alert the driver earlier.

my experiences told me the same thing. sadly this is how 90% of my experience around african americans have been..and its always something wierd, like odd behavioral problems and insane reasoning skills.
video showed me nothing has changed, i loved the odd half assed ninja kicks, they did that when i was in school too, though when i rode the bus, they all used to stick their foots in the middle isles and hog up seats and start a fight if you bumped their foot. lol some things never change
