"When its done" - last I checked, its in Vivendi's hands. It'll be released as soon as they approve it.

I have Steam w/ ATI serial number, and I highly recommend it to any broadband user. I was getting well over 400k/s, and its VERY weird to know that an "encrypted" version of HL2 is on my computer right now!!

Actually, AFAIK, that's not true. This could be the single player only version of HL2 as stated awhile back by Gabe Newell via IGN. Neither the minimum nor the recommended system requirements for the game say anything about an internet connection, so I would be careful. Someone might wanna call and verify this is HL2 and CS: Source. The two reasons I'm not going to do it are that I spent a few minutes already to go find that link and I already purchased via Steam (I wanted the original to play as well). If it is confirmed that this version does include CS: Source, then I do agree that it's definitely a nice deal.

BTW: The single player only release will have the G Man on the box cover instead of Gordon.....

I believe that (IGN article dated Sept 3) is old speculation, a more recent story based on what Gabe said on Sept 30 is here.

The vanilla package includes Counter-Strike Source and Half-Life 2, spread across six discs and boxed in a motif of your choice: G-Men, Alyx or Gordon.

The collector's edition on the other hand comes complete with both titles, as well original the Half-Life: Source (the first title revamped), a t-shirt, strategy guide and in all in handy DVD format.
