It appears that the Prochot# and the thermtrip are independent of one another, so if isolating the the prochot# single will prevent thermal throttling from kicking in, the thermtrip# will still kick in at higher temps to keep the chip from frying itself. I may get brave and try isolating the Prochot# pin to see if it stops the thermal throttling, although it make work in reverse and force the thermal throttling to stay on.
