Yeah its doubtful that they would see IgG antibodies in a week or less after infection. IgG antibodies take about 2 weeks for the body to start to produce after initial infection. They should look for the IgM class as they are the precursors to IgG, and generally disappear after a few weeks.You called it. From CNN:
