Heard of Kuwait? We also protected Saudi Arabia from being invaded by Iraq.

Yeah, too bad that he's not answering them directly. We can be almost certain that he's been given casualty estimates for an attack on Iraq by now, but he just side-stepped the whole question when he was asked about it.

If anything he's a poor public speaker. He should let Colin Powell handle all the press conferences.

At any rate it seems a foregone conclusion. He called the gov't "my gov't". I find that a bit worrrying indeed.

What do you want, specifics? Do your research.

The only 'research' provided by Liberals is the FAILED party line.

Liberals CANNOT abide with a person that actually is honest and is not afraid of their beliefs so they resort to tearing the person apart. They have no choice.

On the countrary. It was the repugs who were rushing to shut Lott up when he was in damage control and trying to justify or spin his comments. In the end, its the repugs who will never come out and honestly acknowledge their party's racist past and origins; as well as many of their current members' agendas.

Who else thinks that Bush is a bad speaker? I'm listening to him and I'm not buying any of that. What he says might as well be 100% true, yet he doesn't persuade me.

I'm wondering which is worse, the simple questioning of the reporters or Bush's simplistic answers.

All you democrats do is insult, insult, insult because Bush is not a great speaker. I would rather have a bad speaker than have a GREAT speaker who lies to us all the time, ie Clinton.

Yes, in his condescending holier than thou way. Sh!t or get of the pot. The economy is tanking and he is not doing a thing about that, he remains tunnel focused on Saddam. I'm tired of hearing him say he
took an oath to defend me. I'll defend myself. When Viet Nam war was going on , he joined ther air natiinoal guard, reagarded as a haven for those cowards who didn't want to fight for our freedom, just reap the rewards of being feed with a silver spoon, in his case, probably filled with cocaine. He again will be safe from harm as he starts this war.

The standards he has set for Saddam, would he accept the same conditions if another country demanded the same of us?

I tallked to a rigid, set in stone republican at work today who said he will not vote for Bush in 2004. Whatever wealth he enjoyed prior to 2000, is gone now, and he sees Bush doing nothing about it. II suspect the war is a smoke screen for policy failures domestically. That is going to be his undoing in 2004.

Again don't confuse this comment with an idea I may be a pacifist or left wing. That would be dead wrong. I want to kick ass and take names. I just think the credibility is on the ropes now of why we should be doing just that. And this speech is helping any at all. Same ol' same ol' song and dance.

"Clinton lied about getting head. Big deal..."

I'm getting sick of this BS too. Clinton lied about whipping his dick out in front of Paula Jones. Big deal? Only because he and his party made such a stink about women being harassed in and out of the workplace. He and his party pass all kinds of laws and bring lawsuits against employers and co-workers for so much as looking at a woman wrong, then he thinks he can just whip it out in front of anybody he wants with impunity. Hah! Strung up by his own petards... lied about getting head my ass! :|

I'm not American, so I also see alot of the Anti Bush, War Monger retoric flying around. So many people talk about American motivations regarding the wanting to take out Saddams regime. I am 100% for Bush to take out Saddam and his henchmen. Think about what could happen in 5-10 years if the US did not do anything, and Saddam decides once again to take over the Middle East, the world would really hesitate to attacking him then when he would have a nuclear button he could push.

Why the people of the middle east are against US involvment is beyond me. They seem to want their aggressive neighbor to develope nuclear weapons and terrorize them once again.

I would rather see Bush be wrong and still attack Iraq, than Bush being right and the world do nothing.

Too bad I'm probably more Republican than Democrat, and I'm leaning favoring war. I'm just not as much as a blind sheep as you, whose not afraid to criticize the President for this action no matter what party he belongs to. He's a horrible public speaker and he doesn't help his credibility one bit with these speeches.

Trust me we won't. Every 1st, 2nd and 3rd world country will raise stink about this, if we touch as much as ounce of that oil.

I like what he just said about permissions from the U.N.
Are you worried that you will be seen as defiant if war goes ahead without explicit U.N. support.

NO!
