President Obama will be even better...
In other news I have already gained 10 power levels off the tears of the right

It feels great.
Just having people feel great about government, after the last 8 years, is a miracle in itself.

Well, I remember feeling all cool about "Governor-Elect Deval Patrick" and then being underwhelmed by "Governor Deval Patrick".
I'm not making the comparison because of their shared skin color. Obama may prove to be a fine President, but running a good campaign with the wind at your back (like Deval) isn't the same thing as governing and dealing with the Lege. Granted, the MA lege and the US Congress are rather different animals aside from the fact that they're both legislative branches.
I'm optimistic, but still mostly in "wait and see" mode.

Wow Mrs. Cleo, do you have any evidence to back that up?

I think the youth movement might make this a different administration than the past. He's a brand already, and people love him, are motivated by him. He could get the economy going just by going out and saying "we need to buy stuff". When he told people that the country was a result of the people I don't think anyone really realized how correct he was in that assessment.
It's going going to be a good 8 years

I'm certainly happy that he won, but I'm a cynic by nature. Obama may very well continue to be able to inspire/influence his grassroots supporters, and this is something that Patrick failed to do once he was inaugurated. He hasn't made any effort to activate his base to get on the phone to their senators/reps and push for his agenda. As a result, his "mandate" has turned into a headlong crash into a brick wall. If Obama makes really good use of his bully pulpit, I imagine he may prove influential.
"we need to buy stuff"?
Sorry, I know you just threw that one out as an example... but that's what Bush told the country to do after 9/11, and much diving into insurmountable debt ensued :Q now look where we are...

Oh I know, yeah it was a bad example, I'm sure you know the context I meant it in though

Don't mind him, hes just reading from the "Far right Talking points to take Obama down" book. It's ok, we just ignore him.
